[Poem] "What is True Love"

"What is True Love"
~written by Me
Saying you love someone isn't enough to prove how much you love them.
Saying you worry about someone doesn't prove how bad you worry for them.
Prove it.
Prove it by trusting them.
Prove it by having faith that they are your other half.
Prove it by not going behind their backs.
Prove it by being there for them when they need you most.
And if you can't... don't just make up some dumb excuse like "sorry... I was playing a video game.." or "Sorry I just wasn't checking my messages".. If you had a true reason for being away from them, a real reason to not spend every moment loving them and continuously trying to step up your game and show them that you're not satisfied with just loving them and having them say they love you, but make it a friendly competition to see who can out-love the other.
Be there for them when they least expect it.
Be online when they're not and leave them little hints at what you've got planned for the day with them.
If they're not well, leave them more than just a "get well soon" message... tell them all the things you dreamt about that night, tell them all the things you are waiting for them to get feeling better to do with them.
If they're not getting better, spend every waking moment loving them. Spend every breath and every thought about them.
We all know there is an inevitable end, but why look at it as that?
Why look at it as the End of everything?
Don't make it a goal to get there. Make it a goal to do everything you can every day.
Can't walk? Make plans to spend time outdoors with the ones you love.
Can't see? Make plans to tell your loved ones everything you feel.
Can't hear? Show the ones you love what they feel like to you.
If you can do everything, do your best to be the best of the best loves for them and do your damndest to make them smile. Because smiling, is the best joy in the world for not just you, but them. Not a fake smile to hide the pain, but a real smile. A genuine real smile of happiness.
Remember the good times and make plans to do them again if you can.
Remember the things you can do with each other and have done.
Life isn't about the journey until the star flickers out. But about the journey of the star's life. To learn about what makes the star twinkle and shine so bright. How it guides us through the dark and stormy nights.
This isn't just a poem.
This is life.
Live life to the fullest you can.
Don't give up when your down.
Push onward.
Love isn't something to mistake as something so easily tossed aside like a used paper towel in a waste bin.
Love is real.
Love is Life.
