Ahhh, Megaton is a Steam-Only edition from what I can see. Now I can tell why I havent got the most recent edition of Duke Nukem.

I just brought Megaton, and the expansions are interesting. But sadly nothing changed to much. The Washington DC expansion is quite interesting though.

From what i know... They are from actual expansions that were sold :p but yeah the DC one is very good :p

eDuke32 is probably the best Duke source port around, but I still have problems with it. It seems to have trouble properly grabbing the mouse in windowed mode. Sometimes I'll make a quick turn and whoops! My mouse cursor has left the game. Sorry, Duke, you're screwed. XD

You are having trouble with the mouse in windowed mode? How small is your window? I currently have mine set at 1366x768 and I am not having issues with it grabbing the mouse cursor flinging off the game. Or, maybe you have an outdated version of eDuke32, and the error was fixed in a more recent version? These are the only things I can think of that might solve your issue >< I wish I could help out more.

AHA! I figured it out cause I got your issue as well!
If there are any programs underneath the window, it can cause the cursor to fling off screen when playing the game in windowed. BUT! If you minimize all and any other windowed programs, the cursor stays inside the game's screen at all times, even when I go crazy and fling my cursor around with the camera look. Try it out and see if this helps!

Now you just need to consider choosing a great source port for Quake and Quake2 and you got the classic game collection complet.
I can also suggest a nice source port for Descent 1 and 2 if that of intresst XD
For Wolfenstein 3d I would look around fresh I think there better ports out as what i used to use.
(Hurray for old games).

I haven't played Descent in a while but DXX-Rebirth seemed to be a decent port when I last tried it a few years back.

As for Quake, I'm not sure. Darkplaces used to be pretty popular, but I'm not sure if it's been updated in a while, and isn't 100% faithful to the original game, at least in terms of visuals. And I'd love a decent Quake II port but I've never had any luck finding one.

I am not sure if an engine for Quake is necessary. I dont play Quake very often, cause I think the games are a bit of a flake. I mean I have the original MSDOS-CDs for Quake 1 & 2 plus Quake 2's expansion CD. And I think they play rather well. But I'm not well educated in Quake's history or functionality to really make any suggestions. Also, I have no idea what Decent is ><

As for Wolfenstien 3D, I use the WolfenDoom 3D wad for Zandronum. I havent purchased the original Wolfenstien 3D yet, so I cant make any other suggestion other then getting WolfenDoom 3D for Zandronum ><

Descent is a Doom clone with a very primitive, fully three-dimensional game engine. The big difference between Descent and Doom is that instead of a space marine, you're a tiny spaceship that flies through corridors of high-tech mining facilities. You have a complete 360 degrees of movement, which means you can rotate the ship in any direction and even fly upside-down, which can be really disorienting but also kind of exciting with how much freedom it offers you. You also have limited lives, which means if you die, you have to fly back to where you exploded and try to recapture your equipment, which adds an interesting extra level of survival to the gameplay.

The Descent games are worth trying for Doom fans...or at least the first one is. The sequels are stupidly hard and I didn't like them as much.
