I'm Back! (Anyone still watching me?)
Wow, it's been over a year! A lot of stuff has happened. But I'll spare you the 10 page rant. TO make the long story short, college was intense, I had to do some soul searching as to where I was going with art, and I went through several trials by fire that showed me that I needed to do things for myself first, and not listen to people who know what I should do in art.
So now I'm back... sort of. Life's still busy, and I'm also on DA, IG, tumblr and Behance... trying to set in roots and make a name for myself so when I graduate I'm not a nobody on these sites. But needless to say, updating so many sites is hard. And not everything I do is anthro, so I won't always have content for here. But I'll post when I can.
Last time I left, there was some big exodus to Weasyl... how'd that pan out? Is everyone gone? Did everyone come back?

FA+

You're on Weasyl, right? I've probably asked you this before, but how is that site? I'm not sure I want to get into another site, but FA's surprisingly archaic after uploading things to Behance and what not.
I have a Weasyl account, I don't think you asked before. It works, but it works oddly. Their text engine uses Markdown text mark-up format. In case you're not familiar, most BBSes, (including FA), use BBCode. BBCode is mostly HTML using square brackets [] instead of greater-than and less-than <>. Markdown has different ways of handling different things. For instance, to start italics in BBCode, it's a i in square brackets; to stop italics it's /i in square bracket. In Markdown, you start italics with an asterisk * and end it with a second asterisk. To make an asterisk there's a three-character code that starts with an ampersand. Other than Markdown, Weasyl seems to work okay and if you never have to underline a word, it won't affect you. Obviously there aren't as many users on Weasyl as on FA. I've never used their search engine or forums, so I can't tell you about those.
That's interesting, I actually wondered why some places uses <> and others []., I never paid attention to the names of different codes.
I think I'll stick to FA until something pushes me to do otherwise.
FA is still usable. It doesn't hurt, though to keep your work on more than one server, just in case one is damaged somehow. Weasyl seems secure and doesn't have a bad reputation, you might consider it for a secondary account. Up to you, though.
I'm all for spreading and conquering. I might yet, but I'd rather have a handful of sites I can reasonably update without it turning into a job. I may utilize Weasyl in days to come, if a secret project gets off the ground, I may need a site that can let me upload character profiles.
