Annnnd Journal Update Thinger is Go
And as it's been nearly a month and a half since the first journal, it seems about time that I made an update. Don't know that anyone who watches me is interested in getting updated on things, but you'll be getting one anyway!
First order of business. From the end of April/all of May To Do List, I did knock out some of that list - though I'm a bit ashamed to say not as much as I'd like. My day job in a call center has been steadily getting busier and more craptastic, and has made it it's business to suck out my soul and desire to do anything when I get home beside relaxing, and for the last two weeks we've been put in a new "training" class that has fucked with my schedule and my boyfriend's, thoroughly messing with our sleep schedule, leaving us freaking exhausted and putting us in bad moods for various reasons. Additionally, our 13-year-old cat is not doing well - he's been sick and losing weight for almost three weeks now, and we can't afford to bring him to the vet. And to top it off, in the last three days I've had a severe panic attack and I've been getting sick with some kind of sinus-throat-crud. Needless to say, it's difficult to get in the right mindset to get to the work I really want to do when that kind of stuff piles up.
But, as those who are interested in Man-Eaters Anonymous stuff may have noticed, art is still going up, and there have been other posts! I have more artsy things lined up from various artists - some clean, some dirty, all of it related to the wonderful, weird world of M.E.A. I think I need to work up an actual list of who owes me what exactly so I can keep better track, since a few pieces have been owed for a while. That may be something for another journal, though.
All the headshot work from the ever fabulous
KawaiiJumi that's been posted previous to this latest batch is about to be taken down and reposted so it will match up with the new "True Facts" series with the characters who, thus far, have headshots. I like the new theme I have going, and I just want consistency with what I'm posting in those regards - and those who are interested can find out more details about the characters in question. Well, the details I'm willing to share just now. So, as I said, look for the first 9 KawaiiJumi headshots to briefly disappear and reappear over this weekend... Also, if you know what this new theme is referencing, you get brownie nerd/internet points and a long distance fist bump.
I do have more, older, writing things to share with you folks as well. Another 10 minute play related to the ever squishy and lovely Ghoul Clarice that I'm planning to revise into a short story down the road, as well as a Mar short story that I wrote many moons back and have kind of been stuck on as how to continue. I know how the whole story will go, but getting it out of my head has been something of a trial; I'll talk more about it when it's posted up. Also, my boyfriend and I collaborated on an adult story featuring one Harriet Sparrow and a local Felton couple who you may have spied in my gallery that will be going up just as soon as I'm done editing it. Again, work-related exhaustion has had me dragging my feet on that. It's another thing I'll try to tackle over this coming week.
That's all I really have to share for now, aside from an updated to do list. Hope to get more "new" things posted within this next week or so, and I hope that you all enjoy what's being put up. As always, feel free to comment and critique, as long as it's constructive. It's alright to not like something in the gallery and share your opinion - but if you're going to be a butthead, you're just going to get ignored. This is a No-Troll zone.
...Well, except for the mythical kind, that is - but that's for another time. ^_^ Stay tuned, friends and neighbors!
1. Work on character profiles as a whole (with a few specific ones at the forefront).
2. Update Race Info for entries on Tcho-Tchos and Reanimate Ghouls with new sections.
3. Continue to figure out if I may have a new layout for all my Race Info crap.
4. Figure out what race I'll be working on for the M.E.A.-verse next.
5. Post "new" (or at least new to people who aren't me or the significant others) M.E.A. related works.
6. Work on short stories for some of the art in the gallery.
7. Update KawaiiJumi pieces for the new "True Facts" theme.
8. Contemplate finding a new job that doesn't get me as stressed out so I can get more project work done.
9. Update job résumé in case the above list item becomes an option.
10. Get sleep 'cause goddamn, I can't do jack when I'm so exhausted I'm sick. SLEEEEEEP.
