The feck - when did 14 months pass?

Holy crud it's been a long span since the last journal. I'd like to say that my being quiet has been due to being productive, making progress on my project, and that I'm about to do some pretty awesome stuff...
Well, there has been some progress on a few things. New characters have arisen, there's been more development in regards to those characters and the world that they live. There has been a little bit of writing - some of which have been posted. There's been quite a few new ideas that have come up for further stories and work. All of these are good things.
However... I haven't completed a full story in that time. I still have so much more world building to do, and a lot of the many characters there still need additional fleshing out and expanding upon. Overall, I'm nowhere near where I'd like to be as far as my creative work goes... And it's my own fault, really - I've not been in a very good place, mentally, for a while, for various reasons I won't get into here, and in part, that makes self-motivating difficult. Coming home from my day job leaves me tired and frustrated too, which doesn't help.
There's still more that could be done - and I can try to push myself to get more done.
I'm planning on trying to push myself, make self-deadlines and figure out ways to get myself to stick to them. I'm not where I want to be, creatively speaking, but I'm going to work harder to try and get there. Here's hoping I can follow through.
