Doug Winger doing better today

Great news! Or cautiously optimistic news.
Doug is awake and talking and doing much better. They are still running tests but it looks like he might make a full recovery. The pneumonia is about gone. There is so much I cannot divulge here but trust me I am amazed at the improvement. Bob says he was smiling and even joking a little. So relieved! The hospital staff warned us not to get too excited since he might reverse course, so no breaking out the champagne just yet. But still :) They are keeping him for another 48 hours at least.
Thank you everyone for your concern, it really means a lot.
Bob told him how we got the word out and Doug was glad and said Thank You. We have found his sister and his nephew thanks to everyone here, and the outpouring of your support.
Since I have tomorrow off work I will visit him again.

Having had double lung pneumonia before, I know the nightmare that it is.

And from my own experience this is the most dangerous time as the doctors are right. With medication patients can appear to rally only to suddenly decline.
Doug still has lots to share with his fans, and continue to wish him a full recovery.
Besides Heaven isn't ready for him and as for the other place, they are afraid he has plans to take over.
He is in my prayers, and you are, too.
