I was going to a wedding of two of my best friends this weekend. I had been hoping they'd get married for a few years now, and I was really looking forward to this wedding. They've even been really accepting of me despite my numerous quirks and flaws. However, I just did them wrong on such an unimaginable scale, I don't know if I will ever be able to show my face to them again.

I completely missed their wedding. I didn't forget their wedding, but I feel that I might have wronged them less by doing that. I flat out got lost for hours and hours and could not find where the wedding was being held. So I gave up and decided to at least show up at the wedding reception. But when I got to the place it was to be held, they told me that there wasn't going to be any such thing there. Unfortunately, due to certain complicated family reasons, I don't keep track of the phone numbers of my friends. As a result, I've completely failed them short of sending them an impersonal apology e-mail during the time that they are likely on their honeymoon.
