I'd love to be able to get to know some of you better and be more active in the community - but I get so busy with work sometimes I'm unable to.
Take this opportunity to start up a conversation, ask me about art, ask me about anything, or tell me things you'd like to see more of in my gallery :)
Thank you everyone for watching, I truly am grateful for all of you, it really motivates me to keep going :)
Leave me a comment or send me a note!

How are you doing today?
I'm good and I hope you are too :)
Thank you so much!
Message me if you ever would like 1 on 1 advice :)
Also, when will you open? I really want something done by you.
What motivated you to become very talented and hard working?
I've been drawing since I could remember - I think a deep desire just keeps propelling me to become better and better at what I do, and keep learning new things. Its an adventure every time to learn a new skill and, to me, that is very exciting.
That is pretty awesome! What was the hardest thing to learn?
I've been in furry for over 20 years and it's been interesting to watch all the changes over time. I'm very glad that I found you, as your work is such a high caliber! I especially enjoy the pieces you do with elaborate armor and costumes.
I hope to talk with you more. ^__^
So happy to hear it. So cool to know you've been in the community for over 20 years!!
I hope the same too :)
I look forward to seeing many more of your works. You definitely brighten this site up with your presence.
I will always remember the pieces I did for you so early on :)
I am still impressed with those pieces XD
Man, Keep up being awesome!
Hmm... so conversation stuffs... How long have you been arting?
Since I could hold a pencil! My mom still has finger paintings I did in preschool haha
Your work takes a lot of time for sure, and they rightfully are worth a lot to commission too. So I was thinking, I keep my activities on this website a secret to friends and family so I was wondering if you are public with your art here.
Some friends know, some friends dont :)
Any YOU are a motivation to me! So ayyyy, it looks like that's a common thread. How's your evening going? Get your fruits and vegetables for the day? As for what to see in your gallery, I vote for "more". Of anything!
*ALWAYS* get the fruits and vegetables. I'm a healthy dude!
And thank you! I'll just keep making more :)
Hai I'm skyder and I'm a beekyfa- nuh uh no beekyface shenanigans
Greetings, my name is skyder and I am a dragon of silv- noon none of the formality you'll look like a snob
GDay I be so- aargh not stereotypical Aussie!
Right, hmmm....
Uhh well hi there, I be Skyder, nice to meet you
Nailed it
You did it!
Nice to meet you :)
I'm......entirely out of interesting things to say.
Nice to meet you!
If you get a chance, check out the writings I've posted. Constructive critique is always helpful.
I do have one question to ask, as I might try creating some artwork myself. If you were able to go into a time machine and talk to yourself when you first began artwork to mention artwork tips, what would you say to yourself? What tools would you use?
That is a great question!
I try not to regret things, but I definitely regret not doing more 3D work in college and learning more about the processes. I'm a good sculptor with clay, and I just wish I had taken the opportunity to learn digital sculpting too. I'm actually in the process of teaching myself now (veeerrry slowly) so someday I can begin work in video games and film in a 3D way instead of 2D
Thanks for asking :)
I'm also looking to enter the gaming industry as a programmer.
How long have you been freelancing for Paizo and such?
Could you recommend any books that would be great to learn more about good drawing/painting techniques?
Is there any game that you love to play and could never get bored of playing?
What your favorite dish to eat?
this is gonna sound like a lazy answer, but I assure you its not: I dont have any books to recommend, because I never used any lolol. Honestly I just practice and practice and practice and im very hard on myself.
Any game I could never get bored of...hm...probably like Diablo 3 or Destiny...hell even games like Pokemon Snap. I think the list is lon g:)
My favorite dish - probably sushi. Endless sushi. Of all kinds!
That doesn't sound like a lazy answer lol. Practicing almost every day has help me tremendously so pratice does seem like the sure fire way of getting better. Books just seem to point out things that aren't always noticeable but really makes a difference in how something looks. It's very impressive how good you are with just practice though o.o Is there anything specific you think a person should pratice often? Like warm up excerisies, values, etc.
Sounds like you've played a lot of great games! I've always wanted to try a bunch of different sushi but it's always hard to try and get someone to try it with me xD
I personally dont do warm ups or speed paints anymore - I learn best by painting the shit out of something til I understand how it works. So i suggest studying, but not doing speed paints. Study, and truly spend time on it, and understand how it works. :)
That's usually how it works for me too, except I usually draw the shit out of something and then just color the stuff I like in. I've wanted to get into painting for a long time though. I think I'll study values a lot more and try to actually paint things in the future.
Thank you for chatting with me as well as giving me great advice! ^.^
I like seeing Sabertooths (of course) in art. When I first got my fursuit, there were maybe 4 Sabers in suit. At FWA there were 20 Saber suiters. I like medieval or viking/barbarian looks and you have a nice touch with armor. I would like to see more of that from you.
and yes I love doing armor! thank you :)
As for me, here on the internet, I'm a 40-something year old, 6 ft tall rat who works as a pearly rat and enjoys dancing the Charleston. IRL, I'm actually 21 and human (that should be obvious), and work as a (so far) freelance graphic designer. You can look at my website https://www.releasegraphics.co.uk if you;d like
I actually haven't fleshed out a sona yet - but I have two characters. Someday...someday.
How often do you paint in your free time (both before and after landing the job)? x3
I try my best to paint as much as I can. If there's a slow day at work I'll paint, and if I have free time on weekends I paint.
Prior to getting this studio job and my own apartment I'd paint every day all day :)
Thanks so much for the kind words - I just work myself to death :)
Like you, I love horror too, and you cant tell looking at my work. I'm a big Aliens fan, but I love all horror stuff. Whats the last movie that really got your attention?
I'm not sure about most recent movie, my favourites tend to be from the 80s/early 90s range. Stuff like Hellraiser, The Thing, Event Horizon, Aliens, The Re-Animator, An American Werewolf in London and The Company of Wolves, among others. I like anything that ranges from hilariously terrible to genuinely chilling.
I love that stuff too. The Thing...ugh such a good movie.
I'm a fellow artist, and Your art is really really good, so thanks for giving me motivation to improve, and for something interesting to say - I'm really into gaming, in between working on commissionss and "Life is Special." on Steam is really interesting thus far if you're into the "Decisions have consequences" type of game.
Thank you for the kind words that's truly meaningful. I still need to get a steam account what am I doing with my life?! Keep up the good work <3
I looooooove pineapple
In all seriousness though, yeah you should get a steam account. It's pretty awesome, and they have great deals sometimes. like I literally paid 11 dollars for all the skyrim expansions and skyrim when i bought it. Which is a huge discount compared to the 70ish dollars my brother paid for the base game when he bought it for xbox.
And that is a hella good deal!! I need to get on it :)
Some even call me hugmonster.
27, m. living in tx. I'm a writer, possibly becoming a nurse, and I love doing theater and comedy.
I love the work you do.. Always inspiring to see a new submission from you come in. Looking forward to commissioning you someday.
I think it's pretty cool you're doing something like this. I browsed a couple of the comments and its nice to get to know the person behind the paint.
Have you ever tried 3d work?
I use maya and 3ds Max depending on the Job.
I like your painterly style, and how your character portraits lean towards realistic animal proportions as far as the faces go
Keep up the good stuff, I always look forward to more of your work
Edit: Ah uh, I guess a little about myself. I'm a freelance illustrator and gamer. My dreams are to someday paint as well as my painting idols and make friends with tons of artists!
thanks for the compliment!
Keep up the good work yourself, and make those dreams come true!
where you been all ma life
Keep up the good work!
I'm the kind of person who studies a ton for fun but overdoes in the sense of not producing much artwork per se, but at least I don't post stuff to then throw a fit and delete everything. At least I'm busy with a job and studying other fields for now, so I can blame the lack of stuff posted for that for now. ;3
I'm also an word architect. I build walls of text with ease. XD There, warned you.
So!
What are your intentions and/or reasons behind choosing a more photorealistic drawing style but also keeping same aspects present in photography like chromatic abberation? You can go very technical with me, if I haven't made that clear enough, also I'm very very curious for your answer. =3
Let's see, I generally go by The Big Bad Wolf, I've been a furry for nearly 22 years now, I'm a tailor who specializes in tasteful animal-print fabrics, and like my namesake, I have a big mouth. ;P
You already know that I am a huge fan of your wor. Seeing all the comments you've got here, I am happy to see others that enjoy your work as much as I do. All the talfans united !
I already asked you a question before you even allowed us to do so hahaha, but here's another one .
Do you consider yourself a furry? (Weird question, I know) . What I mean with this , is that some gray artists here are not actually fries or consider themselves one. They just enjoy being able to draw (and getting payed to do so even more, thanks to supportive fans that love furry art). So that's my question , are yiunandurry, have you become one after working with this communjty, or do you just enjoy the anthropomorphic animals art?
Have a lovely life! And thank you for caring for your watchers
Thanks for asking! At first it was a great outlet to be able to draw things I wasnt used to - I've always enjoyed anthro characters and art, so it finally gave me an excuse to dive in head first. Through being in the community, I've definitely have been developing a sona (which i've mentioned to you before <3).
Thank you so much for a sweet message
Thank you for replying, and excuse all the grammar errors. I can't type well on my tablet. Yet, you were able to decipher my message! Kudos to you.
hope you're doing well :D :D
