we need your help: VORE HISTORY!
Le me and a little team want to create a little something as part of the group
that explains and tells us the story about vore and how it appeared and developed in ages.
what happened in past, when did it happen and so many little details!
We want to make a "panel" on eurofurence (convention in germany) about
vore history. we also want to print parts of the infos we collect in
a flyer magazine handed out during the eurofurence vore-meeting for free.
ALSO we want to post most of it as a journal or listed journals for you to enjoy!
share this journal, lets make this a serious little project till the con happens.
we could also happy share that info with others who plan to do similar events on other cons!
So what do we need?
Let's say everything.
Please tell us in the comments below everything you know!
You dont need to tell us everything - you can put the info you like to share.
But what we are interested into is the following:
- what vore fan pages do you remember? what are the biggest ones? even those who disappeared! stuff like dragonspot if you remember that page. or very famous vore pages that disappeared over the ages that crated and pushed the vore community further!
what was befor the big vore pages? how did people share their vore stuff if they did? like furry art befor the internet printed on paper?... or was there no such thing as vore in the very past?
do you still own screenshots of pages that disappeared but are part of the vore history? share them with us!
everything helpful~
- where did vore appear first? who is the first artist you ever found? what was the first vore pic you remember?
what year was it?
- what inspired you to draw / like vore? what do you like on it? (statistic purposes)
- how did vore change over the years? as in first there was only oral vore now there is anal vore and tail vore as very popular variations. who created those new vore ideas? for example cell from dragonball z (tail vore) (or lets say what historic moments changed / inspired the fandoms views / popularity / kinds of vore...
- vore in media? historic moments that still inspire/changed the vore fandom?
vore gets bigger and bigger and is more and more used in movies and tv stuff...
sometimes even on purpose!
- when did vore became mainstream? (so many high skilled vore artists pop up now that older once well know (because it was so rare) artists feel like noobs now. hehe, i can tell :P) in the furry fandom vore became something everyone knows but not everone likes. its well known and allmost well tollerated. it will be fantastic to talk about it and write some stuff down to tell others about it! how was it in past, you had fears to tell someone you like vore? how is it today? how will it be in the future? what do you wish for the future?
- if you don't know anything, who could know better? do you know someone who is in vore since ages,
and could share lots of infos with us?
- everything else you think what could be usefull for us to mention.
lets make this fun. this could be like a little "vore wiki"
- (edit: because its a good idea from the comments) the bad sides of vore, tell us historic moments that
didnt put vore in the right light. because thats still "vore history" guys.
~forces
PS: this dont needs to be only in the furry fandom:
human vore and other kinds of vore count for vore history as well!
PS2: i especially hope that people who are in the vore fandom for long ages could share a few gems
and stories x3
PS3: yeah i know this journal sounds a bit wanky and unorganized, that is because it is x3
on the basis infos of your comments there will be a new journal soon with some collected stuff from you, and asking for more to add. but lets start this first.

Another old one was Vor-Com, maintained by the Australian couple Jess and Avon, which shut down many years ago. http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Vor-Com
A third was the Vore-Tex, maintained by Gryphraptor, which also shut down years ago. Still mirrored here: http://download.lavadomefive.com/members/voretex/
One of the REALLY early vores is Bill Levy, who's been drawing this stuff since the 70s. His Deviantart page is here: http://williamlevy.deviantart.com/
thanks again!, and please tell me more if you got time :3
every kind of thing people are into is a bad thing if you overdo it and take it to an extreme. as in terror and religion. so i am not afraid to talk about the bad sides too.
I apologize for going off topic but... wow that made me feel old. x3
An example of intangivore is soul vore, but I wanted to expand on that.

- what inspired me to like it was the constant onslaught of maw shot in The Land Before Time and An American Tail!
I remember that Panzer Reyes had his own site for a bit with his art on it, there was Stuffed Online, the original, I think it was Mamabliss site. That one was all purple and had a bunch of stories left on it as well as art. The other two I remember are completely dead and MIA. First is Freaky's Jukpile. The site run by the voracious green Raichu. The other was the personal site of an old vore artist that is retired and such. ALL his art is MIA. It was called Edge's Lair, or something like that. It was for an austrailian artist not many people remember. Edge the Wolf. His character was a sandy colored wolf with black ear tip and tail tip. And rather sharp yellow eyes. The last site I remember is a forum that Charem tried to make. Had a good run, but it was met with too many difficulties. Still an archived version out there. Hungry Pokemon Forums
Ive been lurking a long time myself. I was lurking around even in the days when Charem and his mate Guan werent together yet other than master and pet. I remember artists like Voravac, Hip Hugger Hippy and the aforementioned Edge the wolf. I remember the pseudo founder of Tail Vore, or least one of the earliest users. Arkai. A lizard. Even remember a couple story writers that had these rather unique lycan like creatures. Werewolf like creatures in other words. I remember one was called like Daddy of The Wolf or something. And another was like Throat of The Wolf. My memory though is like a sieve. Fulla holes. So I might have the names wrong. I just remember that the stories involved these werewolf like beings and they were vore stories. I even remember back in the early days before Morca became so popular. So I have been lurking and getting around a lot.
Hopefully these names help and you enjoy the history of them. AS well as the few names I can provide of ancient vore artists.
Great numbers of cartoon movies have a lot of teasing like All Dogs go to Heaven 2 when Charlie is nearly eaten by a crocodile, or all American Tale movies with great inner throat shots.
There is an extensive list in my head of every single movie and tv show I have ever seen.
Anaconda
Dragon Ball episodes where a pink fat dragon eats goku, fish do it, T-rex come close many times
Dragon ball Z has many and listing them should not be required. Can't be a cartoon fanatic without this show on your notched belt.
Tom and Jerry has lots of teasing but one involving robin hood where Jerry must get the key from Tom's gut using his nephew.
Page Story has dragon vore at the end
The Host is a weird action movie with vore as the center stage.
Simpsons episodes.
Family guy has one I remember on the episode where Chris is trying to switch his religion.
Digimon has an episode where the original cast were eaten by whalemon
shoulin showdown has one where Dojo eats everyone
World of Quest has vore on every other episode
ect ect ect... could list over a hundred for a few days.
I knew about what I liked at a young age and I had no clue what it was and I can not tell you exactly what triggers it.
Myself personally.. I didn't have internet until I moved out from under my mother. My mother thinks the internet is the devil and I pretty much had to learn to draw out of need for the stimulation I could not get from magazines or normal things...
I suppose for me, I was so suffocated in a sheltered life style that there has become a comfort in being sheltered and sheltering those that I love.
Darker elements come from people treating me like shit and me wanting to express it in as healthy a way as I can while still upholding laws and regulations.
- I don't remember the name of the first vore site that I frequently went to, but I remember it belonging to a guy named Talonsaurn. Other than that, I used to just search for vorish images on Yahoo and Google. XD
- The things that inspired me to like (and draw for a brief period of time) vore were old fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood, various cartoons, and an old story from African folklore (I think, but I read it a long time ago) about a giant fish that swallowed whole villages alive. I remember having a deep fascination of vore at least since just before I went to kindergarten. Also, once my vorarephilia had "bloomed", I discovered old videogames like Heart of Darkness that had lots and lots of vorish death scenes.
- Here's a fun fact, vorarephilia is more common within the furry fandom than within the general population. The reason why is probably because the most common interspecies relationship between animals IRL is the predator-prey relationship, so the idea of vore is something that most furries have at least thought about at some point.
When vore became "mainstream" is not easy to determine, since it was a veeery sneaky, subtle process. Subjectively I'd say it was around the year 2010 when most people seemed to be accepting vore and some even seemed to "want to be" vorarephiles, meaning they weren't vorarephiles in their childhood but now show an interest for it. Similiar to how the fandom evokes homosexual fantasies in people who used to be merely hetero.
To my personal art motivation: It's probably just the overcomming of my shiness. I used to draw vore since I am very small, like sharks, snakes, dragons eating people etc. xP
But my "comming out", so to say, was in August 2012. Just as it is unpleasant to share things that people hate, it is pleasant to share what others like, too. The other purpose for sure is constructive criticism. I also realized that you barely receive any hatred, if you are open about your vore-interests. On the other side you find many friends with the same interests.
I would also talk about media at this point, but I feel quite uncomfy about this topic. Vore for me surely is media "inspired" though, very early in my childhood. It seems like whenever I talk to people and ask "What was your first vore-memory that made you feel comfy?" they answer with something from media, too. Be it a child book, a cartoon, a movie, a game, whatever.
I strongly believe that it is this disturbing, yet fascinating experience in media that, together with a child's perception and emotions, influences the development of young ones to become vorarephiles. Just like media is a significant influence for other things, too. Especially in the age, where we cannot yet determine well what is fantasy and what is reality, it is quite strong, so that these things become part of our world (This idea came up for me during some psychology/pedagogics lectures).
People seem to have their earliest vore experiences between the ages 5~7 it seems, even though noone would be able to tell exactly, since we naturally blur out those time periods. I can definately date it to the age of 5 though, due to special, momentary life circumstances.
I temporarily put it in my dropbox, but will delete it of course: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u.....sdswallowC.jpg
That is the only one I have from you, I think. I didn't click through my entire folders though.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6491773/
I have a couple of pieces in the big ol' lockbox of art that were at one time online that date back to 1997 / 1998; some of these may still be on my VCL account. For implied vore, I think the oldest one I can definitively give a date to is "Mr. Evil Buggyman" - involving a preying mantis, which is dated '97 in handwriting on the original, not just "stamped".
The earliest vore artists I remember seeing are Lyon and Jace (Brian Harp) - there must be more, but it's been a LONG time.
I guessed there must have been vore artist before 2000 for sure, even mentioned Jace, too, even if the earliest pics I have from him date to 2003. It feels odd to think about that when you people drew vore-things and shared them with the world, I was still in primary school and had no pc or internet yet. In 1997 I was 6~7 : x
It seems like you are still among those earliest artists then though. I find the stories about the fandom quite interesting from those times and earlier, especially things like the first fur meets and such, too.
I wished the pics from those old times would all be preserved somewhere, so they don't get lost.
[Of course I will delete the file from the dropbox link now! :3 ]
Most of the sites I recall were already mentioned by
In truth, Vore came to me since I first found out what an erection was. For me, Vore was my source of pleasure and my biggest fetish. Before the internet was a thing I would watch National Geographic shows about snakes eating their prey whole and the one's that were still kicking alive gave me such a thrill.
For me, vore wasn't just a random discovery that I grew to enjoy, it was something I enjoyed more than vanilla sex haha.
I believe, for me, it all really started to kick off RP wise in yahoo user rooms back when yahoo was super huge. I didn't know what vore really was, but I fancied devouring others as my old feral dragon self after beating them in verbose RP combat. <3 I had no greater thrill then devouring their character, knowing they would be part of me forever and that they would have to remake their characters again. Then came some friends who told me about MIRC and 'Voregotten Island' and I was hooked ever since.
Im not sure where to start this but vore is still one of the rarest fetish out there one can possibly have. Thus it should probably be to surprise of noone that pre-internet that vore focused media was just fair and few between. If vore happened in any media in general it was usually used as throw away gag an not much else to say about it realy. You could see that in most animated cartoons, special effects live action films etc.
Yet there was still odd fairy tale there and there and legends that included vore and were vore focused. Book of Jonah (reused and reworked in Pinocchio) , Little Red Riding Hood, Wolf and the Seven Young Goats, then the Norway fairy tale The Cat who Could Eat so Much the- (this one about cat that embark on a journey to eat everything and everyone in its path until he burst. Most Scandinavian contries and some other european contries I think have their own variations of this story in their own fairy Tale collection. In my own country Iceland we do have at least two variations of The Cat Who Could Eat so Much In our verison the cat has been replaced by female human girl named Gýpa or Gípa depending on the which version of the story one would be reading. She set out to eat everything in her sight until she burst. What I do find curious about Gýpa or Gípa is that the name is said to be alegory for a fog. Thats the first and the only time I have heard the fog alegory used in relation to vore. I suspect that this just way for the original author who ever they were to justify human girl eating abnormally large object and inviduals whole.
Far as i'm personally concerned I always thought story of Gýpa or Gípa far more excting to read than anything else that was out there. For me back then and I was alwyas bit bumped that no main stream author in Iceland wouldn't want to write something similar.
But since i'm not native English speaker I think I was unsure for many years wheter more vore* content existed out there so one day in early 2000s I think I decided to try my luck on the internet and search for this content. Not exactly sure on time lines (this more than 20 years ago now) when my searches resulted in success and I think Voretex and Big Gulp where the website I first found and some of the old interactive stories on writing.com and also Mambaliss's Mindlesconsumption a long with Vorcom, Junkaplie and Eka Portal, Disturbedthings then Deviantart and Furaffinty not sure in which order I found each website but thats impossible to know now unless time travel could be a thing (20+ years is quite lot of time that has passed. ) I might as well have still be using Altavista/Yahoo back then.
Im not sure if I ever actually registred for the big glub forum but I did read qutie lot of posts on there if I recall correctly. I think I lurked ekas for quite some time before I bothered with registeration probably almost year. I dont recall if vortex ever required registeration and I think junkaple was similar in that regard. Disturbedthings required a regiseteration as that was web forum. But now days vore has turned up on social media website such as facebook, twitter, blu-sky, reddit
I think thats about for me far as my early days with vore on the internet goes. Despite my own timeline I think it paralle many of the erlierst vore artist/author who found lack of proper vore content in main stream publication disturbing. Then decided to do something about it in late 1990s or early 2000s and it snow balled from there.
Even if I didn't become a regular vore artist/author myself I have been hanging around the vore community for now best part of my life, in various forms. Im quite delightful that vore actually became thing on the internet and that there is almost enough content to go around and more stuff seems to be created all the time now.
But Generally speaking I dont think anyone has been able to pinpoint when Vorarephilia as term was first used whether that only happend on the internet back in the day or if the term existed before the internet.
I also dont think we can exactly pinpont what caused or when vore focused content was first posted online but during 1990s and 2000s it slowly dawned on pepole that the internet offered a platform for like minded folks to share their intrest whether its vore or something else.
*Vore I didn't know the term back then when I started first out trying to find more vore content online but the term did reveal itself to me the more I serached the internet back then. I think that always happen for folks that want badly find more of this content.
