Post AC Journal!
So, I'm now back home near Toronto, I can write this journal, this year was my second Anthrocon after Adamo's bluejay debut in 2014! I have to say it was at least as awesome as last years! As evidence by the extra weight I'm now carrying around my midsection, there was tons of food and drinking involved along the way :)
Crossing the border this year went completely fine this year, unlike last year, arrived in Pittsburgh in the afternoon, went to the Pirates game, which they lost, but the fireworks show was unreal, (the sound waves from the pyrotechnics almost knocked my hat clean off my head). Fursuiting went great, I alternated between my Legend of Zelda costume and my Bluejays' jersey. (I settled on the latter, because I am willing to go full shameless and show off my Canadian-ess and my love of baseball. I even got interviewed by a reporter for the local news station, if anyone can find that interview that'd be awesome! I already found the picture he took of me.
The parade was unreal, but even before that, I got to chat with a lot of other fursuiters and enjoyed talking with them immensely while I waited for the parade to start, (can't remember names unfortunately). But the parade, hoooo-boy, it was so much fun, inside the convention centre, but when we went outside it was a madhouse! the crowds that packed the street underneath the con centre was really enthusiastic and cheering the whole time. I had goosebumps, which given the humid air in and outside my suit was quite the accomplishment!
Got drunk and raved on Saturday with my friends, what I remember from that night was a lot of laughs for sure, and some pretty bad pictures. ;)
I decided to suit one last time on Sunday for the closing cermonies where I got a picture with the guest of honour San Diego chicken, he first thought I was the actual mascot for the Blue Jays' baseball team, we talked for a minute or two, he was a very swell guy, came from London, Ontario and grew up a Maple Leafs fan for a bit in his early life before he moved to San Diego, and talked about one guy in particular: Tommy Lasorda, real stand up guy and one of the nicest people he met. That was an awesome wrap up to my fursuiting.
So now I'm exhausted after a 5 and a half hour drive, I'll be uploading some of my favourite pictures from the con, sometime very soon, after I get a good nights rest. I want to thank everyone who helped make my con experience unforgettable, both old friends and new ones!

BTW, did you try the elevators at the Westin? Did they work as advertised?
