Feedback Requested: Online Selling Advice
10 years ago
Greetings Fellow Guild Members,
krystal_aristokats here with an idea that I need my fellow guild members feedback on:
One of our guild members asked a question that I would appreciate the guilds open and honest feedback on about Etsy.
For those who have an Etsy shop:
1) What are the top 3 pieces of advice that you would give to a new crafter just starting out selling in the retail crafting community?
2) How did you make your shop noticeable, memorable, and profitable?
3) Do you have any stories of successes or miss steps to share that helped you manage and run your business?
4) Also, does anyone know of any Etsy groups that will give honest and helpful criticism to a preexisting Etsy shop?
For non-Etsy sellers:
1) For those who sell online and do not use Esty, what do you use?
2) How did you make your online store noticeable, memorable, and profitable?
3) Do you have any stories of successes or miss steps to share that helped you manage and run your own business?

1 you should try to get your products to as many sites you can. for me i have multiple free websites like facebook, fa, twitter, inkbunny, sofurry, deviant and etc. its based on social media really.
2 with all the sites i have id have to say advertise or at least let people know your there. even simple gestures like complimenting a fellow user and thanking them.I do also vendor at a few cons that also have advertising to online places.
3 dont put too much into products if you dont have the time. Make sure to at least know your limits. Keep everything organized or label products to keep track. I make sure to do an inventory list at least one a month.
