Lewd Comments in General Audience Submissions
10 years ago
I know it's easy for people to think that just because I make my living off of adult work, they can just inject sex crude sex into everything else that I do. It's rated "general" for a reason. Don't talk about what you want to do to the character, sexually. Don't leave comments about how you're masturbating, or whatever your lack of self awareness compels out of you.
And be considerate of others who may happen upon a "general" rated image and just want to enjoy something nice.

You'd get immediately kicked out and probably arrested.
Those types of comments are creepy as hell on ANY type of image.
it is about not making inappropriate jokes in inappropriate situation, even if you "mark" it a joke
if Fisk, or anybody, don't like something, and feel urge to express it verbally in a journal - which are often overlooked or ignored - it means that it is more than just a annoyment
we all know what drives furry fandom most of the time, as well as that some people compensate something they may miss IRL, tough all should know some boundary, if not for anything else then for sheer politeness
How soon? We'll see...
AND SIPPING A GLASS OF ROOT BEER WITH THE OTHER.
Ew! Ew! Ew! Ew! Ew!
YOU SICK CREEPY PERVERT!
Root Beer?!? . . . Really? (sick.)
you can't really look at anything anymore without a creep in the comments.
The common thought is thus: "eh, there's no way they'll track it down to exactly where i am, so why not?"
of course, there's also the type of person who doesn't have a good day until someone else gets pissed off by them, either directly or indirectly.
Or did you imagine all this text spoken in a monotone voice by an anthropomorphic animal robot with no expression? =P
Still, anonymity can't help the problem much, especially if they're thinking along the lines you suggested (and in some cases, they're probably right). I just wanted to point out that it may not be the core reason that it happens. Doubtful those people would say such things in a public space. And if they could? All the more reason to block them altogether.
As for the trolls? All you can do is block them and let them starve to death.
Joking aside though, i know what you mean and i feel you. Just because there's adult artwork in your gallery doesn't mean they have to drag the adult content to every other piece you have. Seriously, some of us enjoy general non-pornographic content from time to time >__>
That's not a 2d picture, those are actual photos of ME. Like why would someone do that. People are disgusting.
I wholeheartedly agree with you.
I've noticed it always ends up being the same people as well.
Thanks for saying it though.
I think too many FA users forget the fact there are underaged users here too. It's bad enough I have to worry about them bypassing the age restrictions on adult/mature art and browsing the majority of my gallery, but they really shouldn't have to read the perverse tripe comments that the murrypurry types will leave on perfectly innocent pics to boot. -_-
I actually got blocked by an artist after arguing that -- shockingly -- a see-through laced bra with the words 'kiss me' smeared across her breasts should not have been rated general audience.
I also wonder about FA icons because they aren't rated and viewable by everyone, yet some of them I wouldn't consider a general audience submission
It's unsettling to see it on cute or non-sexual stuff...
Inside jokes I can ALMOST understand, but those are few and far in between
And then we get all the whiny, "wah, wah, why do they always portray furries as creepy and sex-obsessed???!??!"
Jeez, I fucking wonder ...
Courtesy and tact are quickly becoming a lost art.
>^_^<
It's stuff like that which makes me glad I lack any and all artistic talent.
Status? BANNED, of course, this is FA, don't forget that
". Even on SFW stuff if you wanna be like "He's really gorgeous" I mean why leave creepy comments at all. You don't know any of these people who they are commissions for.
What's even wierder is when people leave creepy comments on your own comments...like seriously...
I know there is a thing called "freedom of speech" but there is also this huge thing called "inner thoughts" as well. And if one has them let them stay there, heck I think I need to go tell this to someone right now, unless I scared them off already lol.
This is so quickly said yet perfect, your post of this journal I mean.
I don't mind creepy comments, but Jesus Christ people take it WAY to far.
Instead of making a whiny journal, why not use your popufur powers and make SFW comments on General rated work a rule?
