Anyone know this cartoon?
10 years ago
I'm desperately hunting for some cartoon from my childhood days;
I've already looked in so many directions, it's amazing that I find nothing, aside from other people vaguely making similar mentions in forums but no info really turning up?! Maybe somewhere here does remember it and even has a name?
I must have been around 4-5 years old watching it, so the cartoon has to be from 1992 or (much more likely) earlier.
It was about some green goblin/gremlin/troll, I remember the character had a tail with a tuff at the end and long ears (so less humanoid than say, David the gnome, but more human faced than Toadie from Gummi Bears.). I think the character also wore some big hat.
The style was somewhat similar to The Last Unicorn (I think).
The name of the series was some fantasy word, like the character's name, but it was a rather outstanding one. I just can't remember it. I read "Hubbedidick" in another forum and I think that rings a bell!
I don't remember the plot at all, but I do remember that I absolutely loved the series, and there is a very vivid memory about me sitting above the TV magazine telling my back-then babysitter about my favourite shows, and when I pointed at the screenshot of the series, she said it's one of her favourites, too. I think it was one of those series that always came with morale-of-the-day stories.
I really wished I had more information than that, but I really don't.

Thank you, though!
but i cant remember the name of the show
Now im going to look for it
Would be so amazing to find something on that!
But i will do my best to remember/Find it
I swear there was a book about him
Edit No wait im thinking about 2 silly trolls
The opening song was really catchy, too, constantly repeating the character's name.
I already looked in lists of TV series that aired around that time in Germany, but I was unable to find anything.
Thanks for the effort!

The series really focused around that one character, he was pretty much the protagonist. There might have been other goblins/leprechauns, but he was at the center of the story.
I think my character had definitely green skin.
A Troll in Central Park (Don Bluth Studios 1994):

Princess and the Goblin (1991):

Rankin Bass was the company that helped work on Last Unicorn but I couldn't find anything that fit.
I really hope you find it though; it's so irritating to have something from childhood that you vaguely remember but not enough to identify. For me it's a book which I'm 99% certain I will never find @_@;
Yeah, it just bugs me. I want to know what series that was!
Also about our book, describe it? Maybe I have heard of it, I used to read a lot as a child and teen, mostly fantasy novels though.
The book was something both me and my sister remember reading in infant school so we would have been... between 5 and 7? She's four years older than me but remembers reading it while she was there. Something about a child finding a secret doorway in a tree, it led either to a whole other world or just a house occupied by a friendly wizard/witch. It had a familiar in the form of a fox called some variant of Karlin, Carlan, Korlin, etc haha. We have a very treasured little fox teddy which was given to us around that age so we named it Karlan but never did find the book. ;_;
Maybe describe what you're looking for?
2. This one kid gets suck into a game. Disks turn into monsters and if a monster is too weak or something, I don't remember exactly what, then the monster returns to disk form. If the main bad guy, I don't remember his name, revives a monster then said monster is evil.
3. After a girl is accidentally covered in chemical(s), she can turn into some kind of liquid. A branch of the government hunts for her.
And
4. A bully is turned into a dog and must do 100 good deeds to regain his human form, I don't remember if there's a time limit for him. The last kid he bullied is the only one he can speak to.
2. Is cartoons.
4. Is real life.
3 is real life and you got it right. Thanks a bunch.

As far as answering the question, your description doesn't sound the slightest bit familiar to me, sorry.
But Hey! Welcome Back!
And thanks!
