Are you a nineties child?
I bets I am...
You remember watching:
[x] Kenan and Kel;
[X] Doug;
[X] Ren & Stimpy;
[X] Pinky & the Brain;
[X] AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!;
[X] Rocko's Modern Life;
[X] Animaniacs;
[X] Gargoyles;
[X] Hey Arnold!;
[ ] Out of the Box;
[X] Bear in the Big Blue House.
[X] You’ve ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!";
[X] You just can’t resist finishing this: "In west Philadelphia born and raised...".
You remember:
[ ] Step by Step;
[ ] Family Matters;
[x] Dinosaurs;
[ ] Boy Meets World;
[x] Full House. (Unfortunately. Ugh...)
[X] You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons;
[X] You remember reading Goosebumps.
When everything was settled by:
[X] "Rock/paper/scissors";
[ ] "Bubble gum, bubble gum in a dish";
[ ] "Miss Mary Mack".
[ ] When kickball was something you did everyday;
[X] You used to listen to the radio all day long;
[X] Just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time on a tape.
[X] You remember Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis;
[X] You remember The Original Game Boy;
[x] You always wanted to send in a tape to America’s* (Australia's) Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny. (Or so they thought. My family still thinks the Christmas video of the camera itself smashing into my head was the funniest thing ever caught on tape. XD)
You remember watching:
[X] The Magic School Bus;
[ ] Wishbone;
[ ] Reading Rainbow;
[X] Ghostwriter.
[X] You remember when Yo-Yo's were cool;
[X] You remember those "Where’s Waldo" books;
[X] You remember eating Warheads and Splashers Gushers.
You remember watching:
[X] Batman the Animated Series; (FUCK YESSSS...)
[X] Aladdin;
[X] Ninja Turtles;
[X] Ghost Busters.
[ ] You remember Ring Pops;
[ ] You remember when everything was "da BOMB!";
[X] You remember boom boxes vs. CD players;
[X] Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them;
[?] You played and/or collected Pogs; (Do Tazos count? XD)
[X] You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere you went.
You watched the original cartoons of:
[X] Rugrats;
[X] Wild Thornberrys;
[X] Power Rangers. (That was not a cartoon. :T For some reason my favourite one was the blue one, who was the supergeek. What's up with that?)
[ ] All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand. (A-who wha??)
You collected:
[ ] Beanie Babies;
[X] Pokemon cards;
[ ] Carebears;
[ ] Silver dollars.
You remember when:
[ ] Everyone watched the WB; (WB? Is that some American thing?)
[X] Everybody knew all the Pokemon by heart;
[X] Digimon was still on;
[X] If you even know what an original Walkman is;
[ ] You know the Macarena by heart; (I know the dance, anyway. Not the lyrics XD)
[X] "Talk to the hand"
[X] You went to McDonald’s to play in the playplace and it was still sanitary;
[X] Before the MySpace frenzy; (Good times.)
[X] Before the Internet & text messaging;
[X] Before Sidekicks & iPods;
[X] Before PlayStation3 or X-Box 360; (Lol, who is this meme aimed at, five year olds??)
[X] Back before X-Box period;
[X] Before SpongeBob;
[ ] When light up sneakers were cool.
[X] When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs;
[ ] When gas was $0.95 a gallon. (Gallon? Te heh)
[X] When we recorded stuff on VCR.
[ ] You had slap bracelets.
[X] You actually played outside until it was dark
[X] Way back before we realized all this would eventually disappear;
[X] Post this if you smiled at least more than 5 times;
[X] And if you remember at least half the stuff on here.
Well this was more of a nostalgia trip than a meme. The funny thing is though, these questions are so fucking obvious to me, but the more I think about it the more I realise how many kids grew up without this stuff and I feel kinda sorry for them. As opposed to the 'children of the 80's' who appear to be ashamed of their own existence.
I bets I am...

Recently, in an attempt to reclaim my lost childhood, I've been poking around these old cartoons. Rocko's Modern Life is fantastic.
;^;
Also +10 4 oldschool
It was some timeslot thing that was trying to be "hip" by going by just the initials. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caBBLMYCswk From what I remember Lisa Frank was a company that did stickers, the covers for spirals, and folders among other things. The actual products were crap and fell apart, but the art was pretty good-usually hearts and psychedelic rainbow colors...to prepare young girls for a future filled with acid?
The only thing I didn't recognize was the "Out of the Box" thing... I think that means I watched WAY too much TV as a kid, strangely I could go months without watching it now and could care less. (Then again, now there's youtube XP)
