Most people, or at least everyone I know, uses the brush tool with pen stabilization O3o; (if in Photoshop, it'd be Lazy Nezumi)

Idk, every time I've watched someone use Photoshop, they've used the brush tool, whether or not it was a custom brush xp

I tried the brush tool and it becomes very daunting. I understand, practice improves your art but, I'm so used to a pencil and paper instead of digital, looking down instead of looking up at a laptop or monitor.

I want to get back into art (it's what I used to do before music) and have it be a hobby.

I do however sketch and scan it to my PC, cause I just got a scanner. ^_^

As I've never used any pen tool within photoshop, and I think the previous person /might/ be confused as to what it is as he's coming from SAI, not Photoshop, could you explain what specifically that tool is?

Hahaha, actually I bought it.

Tool is a tool really mate, knowing when best to use it is good. As long as it's not doing the work for you.

I never learned to draw very well but I used GIMP for a while. I don't think using the pen tool is a cheat. To use it well still takes skill.
