Oh no it's a "Leaving FA" journal. How tragic.

When I joined FurAffinity 8 years ago, it was all new and exciting. I had fun browsing around all this new stuff, started submitting things of my own, and after a short while, joined the forums to have some fun on there too. It was there I learned about the great Ferrox project. It was to be the new and improved FA. It sounded great. But time passed, and Ferrox died, and FA stayed the same. Then there was a new UI shown, and it never arrived. A merger with Furocity that collapsed into a sad puddle. This was a pattern I would continue to see over these long years, and it still continues today.
At the same time, I'd begun to notice stories about FA, about members banned for odd reasons, gripes from ex-staff, site flaws, strange admin abilities, mismanagement. Sometimes technical in nature, sometimes social, but each one would slowly reveal the rotten core. It became clear that FA wasn't really going anywhere. It was a shambling zombie, barely keeping itself upright, but wearing pretty clothes and telling everyone it was fine, and to just give it some time.
Thankfully, most of this did not really affect the forum I had come to enjoy. I was even made mod there, but finally the rot had reached the forum too. The same attitude of having absolute power to do as they wished whilst doing little to improve things. Claiming to listen and respond to feedback whilst ignoring it completely. To make things the way those in charge wanted it over all else. When that failed, the forum was going to be nuked entirely, regardless of those who had come to call it home. Thankfully, it seems that has been (forcefully) averted, and will likely end up having to split from FA to remain intact. Virtually all of this is documented on the forum, if anyone cares to peruse it.
Maybe one day - after ten years of waiting - they'll finally implement folders. Maybe they'll manage to clear their trouble ticket queue. Maybe we can eventually nest quotes and upload larger images and blacklist tags. But as long as the same people remain in charge, FA will never really progress. It's been given life support by IMVU to keep it staggering on, but I am no longer willing to support this site. I have removed my submissions so they cannot make money from the shitty adverts plastered around when people view my work. I refuse to let them profit from it to help them carry on their sad charade of pretend progress.
I am done.
For now, I have created an account on Weasyl, though I have not yet decided if I will be anywhere else in addition. I might even upload something new. Who knows.
TL;DR version: If FA was an animal it would be put down, it's rotten on the inside, and I'm taking my shit elsewhere so FA and IMVU wont profit off my stuff any longer, I'm on Weasyl, bye

So if you hate this place so much why do you still have an account here? You are watched by many people here and seem to enjoy watching many others. Kind'a hypocritical don't you think or maybe you are lacking in some of those brain cells you mentioned below?

I know it's not actual programming but, I made a rough random example of why I'm stuck here. I moved my gallery. I stay here so I can continue seeing stubborn artists art.
