Halloween Been Canceled! 111th Journal
This is my head.
Ok, Hallows' Eve not actually canceled, just the Halloween party/contest at work. Found out this morning. Bummer. And I just gathered the majority of the material I needed to make my costume too (an aluminized high-temp firesuit). Well, at least people are still encouraged to dress up though. I don't think it'll be as much fun but at least it's something.
The project I had in mind is going to be too fragile to wear all day so I hopped to put it on during the event. I plan to go with one of my backup ideas, the Wacko biker (inspired by the Waco shootout at Twin Peaks). No fake bullet wound to the head however, that could be a little too morbid for work taken account of what went down in Waco, TeXaS several month ago, a bit too close. If it was a private party, I'll go all out of course. But I'll keep it subtle... for the most part.
Should be too hard to do as I already made a faux leather vest for my Machete costume from last year. I'll take off the knives and add a biker patch on the patch. I won't be a real patch but something printed on paper with the image textured to look like a sewn patch. I already started on the logo.
Aside from the vest, there is not much accessories to go with. I'll probably get one of those choker chains to look like those that I sometimes see biker dudes hang from their wallets. Maybe a pair of leather-like finger-less gloves if I can find them. Perhaps a spiked leather wristband or something like that. Certainly a bunch of fake tattoos like a arm sleeve. If I can find some sort of biker helmet, I'll go with that too. A Twin-Peaks styled red plaid bandanna would be a good tie-in methinks.
The other idea I had is going as a '80s rocker complete with the poofed hair and the like. I don't think I'll go with that one, at least not this year. Something to keep on the back burner. I don't have the time to redo the cyborg costume I did several years ago so that one is out. I did thought about being a Mongol warrior but too late to start on that one as well.
I don't have any more biker ideas right now and I am running out of time (as usual). If any of you have any more suggestions, fire away. I won't bite... much. I could use more thoughts on this to pull it off and make it different enough than what I did last year as much as possible.

The more ideas I get to gussy up the biker getup, the better. Whatever you can throw at me, I'll see what can stick.
