Well... it finally happened.. the day I've been dreading has come...
My Dad has died.
Early-onset Alzheimer's and Severe Diabetes is what did him in. He was only 66 years old...
There really isn't anything that anyone can do... only time can heal this wound...
This wound may take a lot longer to heal than most... for obvious reasons...
Please, don't get upset if I don't respond for a while. This is something I have to deal with.
Although... I could use all the hugs all of you can give...
He was a good man. He was quirky, but never had a bad thing to say to anyone.
R.I.P. Dad, your long night is finally over.

It sounds like you really love him, which is a beautiful thing. Don't lose that love and hold on tightly to your fond memories of him. I can't say it will ease the pain, but it's something to help at least.
It's okay to be weak at times like this, so let your tears fall if you need to.
But you can pull through this
