I absolutely refuse to send as gifts anyway. The artist is running a business and I won't pay for their fees. Not to mention it completely removes my consumer protection should the artist not deliver on what I paid for within the agreed-upon time period.

Is this still going around? This FALSE INFORMATION keeps popping up everywhere. This is old, and it's about ILLEGAL CONTENT. So if you sell illegal drugs, guns, slaves, whatever you can think of through PayPal and they get you, they fine you. THE FINE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SENDING IT AS GIFTS. The part you quoted has been horribly cut down from the original, I ever saw someone asking about it and PayPal said no worries. Please research before you spread false info.

i actually had no idea this was false info, but i use paypal a lot, and i can't afford any sort of fines of this caliber. =/
