My family is smaller now.

General
(First off, my heartfelt condolences go out to those killed or injured in the Paris attacks, as well as their families, friends, and all others affected by these tragic events.)
(far) Closer to home, I am sad to report the passing of my father, Ronald Schwartz, who died Wednesday at age 77 from complications related to a bacterial infection in his lungs. He was many things to many different people, but to me he was just Dad. He worked as an aerospace engineer in cockpit/crew station design, contributing to several Air Force aircraft, including two of the greatest known to man, the F-15 Eagle and A-10 'Warthog'. After retiring, he volunteered with the Boy Scouts and other organizations.
He will be greatly missed.

the A-10 Warthog is probably the greatest Close In Air Support aircraft ever invented. my brother was a Marine in Gulf War 1.0, so it is very likely that aircraft saved his life a few times (he won't talk about it, for obvious reasons)
so I still have a brother thanks to the work your dad did. Thank you
:c
Your dad had a full life, mine buried himself in a bottle, but died at 67 from the same thing that killed HIS mother at only 60 before either the alcohol or tobacco could.
I greive with thee. His Spark has joined The Matrix.
May he rest in peace.
It sounds as if he was a wonderful, hard-working role model, and someone you should be proud to have had as a father.
My condolences on your loss, sounds like he led a marvelous life.
fitting honor for a man who made the aircraft that keeps us safe.
We owe so much to the generation of our parents and to the contributions that made us what we are today.
"I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done."

>My Life Will Be Forever Autumn. Now You,re Not Here.<
Such is the flow of time, and the way of life.
He had a good life, and a long one.
Take heart, and keep him in your memories.
He too had lived a full life, though having been in the Air Force for four years during Korea, and having built airplanes with Boeing for a living before he met mom-heck compared to some of the other members of his family during those difficult times he was really lucky, especially having been able to go and see the world..I might not be able to go into the military thanks to certain conditions that I have that also run in my family, but I hope to be as great as he was in the future :'3
May he rest in peace.
Your Dad sounds like he was a cool guy for the work he accomplished.
Ron will always be remembered, and Amitech-Dayton won't be the same without him. Nor the weekend runabouts when I could make it.
I enjoyed the time I had to get to know him and wish I'd had more. He is missed.
My thoughts are with you.
Loosing the own parents make us suddenly realize that even our life has a timer ticking down. And suddenly we ourselfs are the first line. And yet we feel like little children and ask ourselves how our parents managed to deal with all the all-day responsibilities.
To our mothers and fathers
To say your dad will be missed would be putting it lightly, but think of all the good he did for this world when he was here, and all the impact he had on it. I never knew your father, but he sounds like a great man. So you have my heartfelt condolences, Eric, and your father has the thanks of the world.
He sounds like he was a great man to many people and a great dad to you. Always hold on to that. It far outweighs anything that you'll hear from others. It's how you knew him, after all.
I didn't know him, even for a moment. But, I'm sure he'd want you to smile when thinking of him. And, as long as you remember him with a smile, he'll always be close to your heart. :)
Your father seemed to have lived quite a life full of wish fulfillment. He seriously worked on cockpit designs for those jets. No wonder you have the skill to draw all the work you have. It was passed down from your family in a way. So always take pride in what you have crafted for the ages. You definitely had parents who had cherished you for all your effort and compassion. :)
So take care of yourself and find peace with this loss you find yourself dealt. I know others who have lost their parents in recent years. You are not alone and always will have a shoulder to hold onto for comfort in your life.
*hugs ya tight*
May his rest be forever peaceful.
i hope he will meet Jim and start draw together ;)
My condolences to you and your family, truly a big loss.
Just remember the good times you had with him and he will never fade from memory.
Best wishes
