I have a working setup, yay.
I'm going to open a YCH soon for living + Creative cloud subscription expenses
I'll open less YCHs and commissions later so I can focus more on my backlog. Sorry for the lack of openings, but II really only want to take on as much I absolutely need.
I'm thinking on a new system;
commission for normal price, that is done almost immediately,
and commission on waiting list; that is done when I can, but is considerably cheaper. (my waiting list is several months however)
such as ~15$/h and ~4$/h
That for example would make
a speed-paint 75$ or 20$
an illustration 300$ or 80$
This would not be available for complex illustrations as they take me several months anyway, and I'm not taking any of them until my backlog is over; they are usually over a 100 hours of work-time.
I hope that is reasonable.

I wasn't upset, or angry; I heard from multiple people that's what I sounded like. I was just really really tired. Sorry if I offended anyone :(
BUT:
I wouldn't go so low on the price, you are already underselling yourself and i don't think it would be good to go even lower
You go down in price a lot, i'd maybe go 1/3rd cheaper, so instead of 15$/h i'd go with 10$/h...
4$/h is way too low!!!
You also don't want to keep extending your waiting list on cheap commissions, I just worry you might end up digging yourself a hole if a bunch of people want cheap ones. Perhaps put a limit on the amount of cheaper commissions you take per month, just to ensure that doesn't happen?
