Something I found inexplicably helpfui with my depression was headspace.com - it's a free 10 minute meditation thing, and I think you can use the free thing as long as you like. All it is, is sitting quietly, naming how your body's feeling, and then counting your breathing to 10 and to 10 again until 10 minutes are up, starting again from one when you notice your attention has drifted. Nothing spiritual, just something really simple to focus on while you let the disruptive thoughts go for a while so your mind can relax.

It took a week or so to notice a difference, but I do it now and then even now.
