Hey all, I hope everyone's doing well. I'm starting to. My month started out pretty crummy and my mood has been less happy than I would of liked. Though it's definitely steadily turning around.
I've gotta say probably one of the biggest boosts for me was that I got to go to my first furmeet in a long while. It was great to see everyone and go suiting around. It was the best Thanksgiving celebration I've had in the last 2 years. I can't wait to go to the next one and just to future meets in general.
I really had a blast especially after I was able to get in character.
The great day made it easier for me to get motivated to get back to work and get some stuff done. While it's still been a struggle in a lot of ways I definitely had a chance to make some progress.
Now for the really good news. Today I went to the Allergy doctor to get a allergy test. Before you all start panicking No i'm not allergic to dogs. Mattie is safe.
The results actually are kinda a good news bad news type thing. The good news is the only thing I was allergic to was mold. The bad news, theres no major treatments for it and it's a pretty severe. Here's why I feel the news is incredibly positive.
In around September from the time I was around 10 years old I have had these frighteningly severe migraines that couldn't really be treated. Nothing did any good aside from sleep in a dark quiet place. It wasn't till the end of my junior year in high school that I finally after going to doctor after doctor for help;got a treatment for them that partially worked. Though we still didn't know why.
To make it even more interesting. The moment I enter South Carolina the migraines and other things would ease off.
Here's the interesting thing around that time of year is when all the mold comes out. Rotting leaves, tree mold, mushrooms, other fungi, etc.
Also to make it make even more since. My uncle is a tree surgeon and he dumps all his cut down trees and mulch in our backyard.
So combine that with all that occurs naturally outside not even counting indoor factors. It equaled horrible migraines that lasted literally months at a time.
It's such a relief to finally know what it was that's just made me so miserable all these years. Finally that entity has a name. I'm no longer wondering quite as much what's wrong with me. That's one more piece to the puzzle.
Now all I have to do is follow doctor Van Winkle's(yes that's his real last name) suggestions and I'll at least be able to control inside and cope with the outside mold that strikes twice a year with the help of my new allergy meds and avoiding rolling in the leaves.
As for Thanksgiving I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving. We all have something in out lives to be thankful for.

Probably some form of air filter should help you indoors. I know I have seasonal allergies, too. I just don't know which one. Really, I think it's the cat.
It was great to see you at the Thanksgiving meet. So much fun, even though we didn't get to talk as much as I would have liked to.
Well pet allergies are some of the easiest to treat if you ever decide to go get a allergy test they'd probably have some good treatment options if it is the cat.
As for me the only thing I'm not really looking forward to is I'm going to have to start wearing a respirator outside. Though he did give me the cheaper option I'm debating on just getting the 'vader mask' style over the paper ones.
It was great seeing and talking to you too. Hopefully next time we get to see each other in person it won't be too far in the future.
I'm looking forward to the next Greensboro meet up.
Me too I sure hope one happens soon.
I know in the very near future I'm going to be headed up to Greensboro to meet with
Cool. Is that for Shamus's new head? Maybe we can arrange to meet up for lunch or something
Yes, that would be for the Shaemus rebuild. We tried to meet this past weekend in Charlotte so I could give her the original head and fur, but something came up and it didn't happen.
Bo had been planning to organize a future meet but, his work has been working him so hard that he doesn't seem to have much time for anything.
Ah I see. Well at least it's still early enough it's not delaying anything with the build. Hopefully you'll have better luck in the near future.
