In my opinion, if you paid for it and they made an error, point it out. Otherwise you spent money on a piece you'll regret and usually, if it is the artist's mistake and not from incorrect reference, they will fix it without complaint.

The only time I have had an artist get upset at me for asking for an edit is when they changed the number of rings on my fursona's necklace because they did not think it looked right with four. This has been done multiple times, but as the reference clearly states "Four rings. NOT optional", I went to them and asked them to fix it. They got a bit grumpy, but they fixed it.

I have never done it before and I guess its my submissive nature that gets me all guilty feeling, I am only submissive to artists XD

I know that feel. With the artists I fully fangirl over, I cannot bring myself to point out any flaws. D: But then I sit there regretting it every time I look at the picture. ;~;

It took me two days to work up the courage, but sometimes I guess you have to be honest with art even if it hurts :/
