MFF Here I Come!!!

So for any one interested, here's an update:
Things are finally coming together and the excitement is building! After my surprise layoff (a good surprise, don't worry!) and then the holiday weekend kinda had me on my heels with making a solid thing of all these loose plans I had made much earlier in the year when I thought MFF was just a pipe dream. A few emails, skype chats, and phone calls later we have a room full of furries to minimize expenses and maximize the fun! =^_^=
So for those of you who don't know, I'll be road tripping my way out to Chicago from Frederickburg, VA, my hometown, with a pitstop about an hour or so Southwest of Kansas City to pick up two of those furries, my furbro John and his BAE. I'm leaving super early tomorrow morning and we should be arriving in Chicago around 3pm Thursday and will be staying until late morning Monday.
Now when we first arrive, I'm probably gonna be pretty bushed because one half of this trip for me is about 28 hours of driving and ~1,600 miles. And when we get there Thursday, we won't even be in the con hotel, we'll be in the Aloft down the street some.
As luck would have it, someone I watch on IB and here on FA were asking if anyone had a place to crash for the con and so I offered. 24 hours and a lot of shifting plans, the dust settled and the end result was much better than where we started. Turns out from Friday until Monday me and my buds will be IN the Hyatt!!! I never DREAMED I'd be able to stay in the hosting hotel when the rooms filled up in no more than like 30 mi, lol.
So a shout out to my new friend Carrot for working their magic because it's 100% because of him we got that room. So thank you Carrot!!! =^u^=
Welp, as I sit here waiting for my car to finish getting detailed, I'm looking at what I have left to do compared to what I've accomplished so far and I'm feeling pretty darn good about this. All that's left is to get some road snacks/drinks, pack my suitcase, pack the car, and then just double check everything in the morning! Yes, things ARE finally coming together, all the late calls and planning meetings all over the internet, all the cleaning and organizing, all the lists (I've checked them twice!) I've made... all this effort was totally worth it! =^w^=
So with that, I leave you all and hope that everyone has a wonderful week and weekend regardless if you're attending MFF or not. If you're doing any travelling, as far as I am or not, be safe and have fun!
