Last month of the year already! That lovely time of year when we all start dreading how close the holidays are, and how enormously unprepared we are for them (or I do anyway). :P With this being the last month of the Paw-Post for 2015, I was wondering if there is any interest in a poll to vote for the "Most Pawesome Picture of 2015" from the various ones posted this year? I don't know how many folks would offer proper feedback on that to know if it's doable or not. Thoughts?

I've also decided that one of the issues with the Paw-Post when it runs late is that I keep trying to cram in later stuff that pops up, and starting today, I'm going to limit it to around 9 or 10am EST so that I can just focus on existing stuff, and anything after I can just shoe-horn into the next Paw-Post. I think I'm also going to start trying to get most of these done the night before.

Also, in case you missed it - the Highlight for Friday's Paw-Post was added on Sunday when CariFoxLeopard got a chance to snag time from a busy holiday weekend in the US. Another thing I wanted to point out today were FA Groups that are Paw-Centric. I mentioned them before early on in the Paw-Posts, but I think it's worth highlighting them again in that there are several groups on FA that are dedicated to paws in some way. Why: Because this is just everything right about loving footpaws. :3 Here we have Tchai's adorable little Jinjing-Yu passionately and reverently enjoying her first up close taste, sight and scent of Adreea's unique footpaws. In fact, when I first saw him post it on Patreon (and good gods, is the resolution glorious of that version) I loved it enough to write a quick take on what my impression of the scene was, and Tchai loved it enough that he included it as the official description in this DA post! So have a quick read. :) And I plan on actually doing something a bit longer for him too - a page or two, if I can find the time! The expressions REALLY make this one a wonderful picture. <3

Oooohhh... very nice find! Those are definitely nice feet with a great shape to them for toes, nice taper, great soles and lovely heels with plenty of nice wrinkle and flex details. AND... you just reminded me I forgot to add on a RL-human pic. XD Doh.

Also yes, I do feature'em whenever I find nice ones. *pokes* Have you been skipping some paw-posts?

If you'd do a "Most Pawesome Picture 2015", how would you decide what pictures to pick for the poll? I mean we're talking about a ton of paw related pictures here. An easier way would be to just go with your picks for most pawesome picture in every Paw-Post but then again these are your personal picks. So I think maybe people could submit their own personal pick for MPP2015, limited to only one per person of course. It's just a little much to ask of every person to recap a whole year worth of paw pics.
Maybe for 2016 we could do a "Most Pawesome Picture of the Month" and have people vote at the end of the year between the 12 pictures of the month. Of course that'll all depend on how many people would actually submit entries and take part in the voting.

Hmm... well, I would think they'd be the best pick out of the existing bunch of Most-pawesome's from each paw-post since I started them. Yeah, they're my personal pics, but then, the whole Paw-Post is my personal picks of what I felt were the best paw-offerings of the last so many days. XD I do like the monthly idea though - moving forward, that would be an easier one to manage since there's an average of 8 to pick form each month. Then that makes a yearly winner easier too as there'd be 12 to choose from.

I totally agree with Evil-Sprite in terms of the "Most Pawesome Picture 2015" vote -- maybe there could be a stipulation of some kind in there..? I.e., everyone submits one vote for one feature, but it must be something that took the Most Pawesome slot for the journal entry it was featured in..?

I don't know if you'd want to compile a separate journal listing every single Most Pawesome from each Paw Post entry for people to choose from; that sounds like a lot of work on top of everything you already do. If I wasn't so swamped with stuff I'd gladly offer to compile a list for you right now -- and if I'm able to get through a few huge things in time, I'd still be happy to! Just let me know when you'd like to have the journal up for the poll (if you decide to do it this way, of course), and I'll let you know whether I can get the list compiled for you by then. :3

My favorite feature for this one definitely goes to FurryBob, hands down, haha~ Poor guy's so tuckered out... and lately I can absolutely relate, haha! Adorable situation and drawn absolutely beautifully -- and the colours work so well! Muted tones for the background help the character himself jump out at the viewer, very very beautiful. :D

Yeah - time is a HUGE problem with these. As it stands, I'm often struggling just to get these done as-is. I do like the monthly idea that Sprite pointed out, though that doesn't fix the 2015 issue. I appreciate your willingness to try and help though. I might just have to take you up on that. I keep saying to my mate "I need staff" when it comes to help with this journal. XD

And yes, that FurryBob piece is great! I tell ya, I've had MANY mornings where I feel like that. XD And colours are important! You are definitely a master of those in your work (especially that recent feather-haired piece, wow).

I'm definitely seeing that -- I had a bit of spare time earlier and started to compile a list (to have a head-start just in case, lol) and there is a lot of content to cover for an entire year! (I've only made it to the April listings, haha) Something I noticed (and had forgotten, oops!) is that there wasn't always a "Most Pawesome" category to the entries, and I'm not sure how that might factor into the selection/voting process... That might be another topic to discuss with your followers, too, maybe -- if for nothing else to get some feedback on where opinions lay. :x

Yeah.... the Most Pawesome's started up part way through the year as an extra feature. The problem I find with asking for feedback is that I'm lucky if 0.5% of the people who watch the Paw-Post ever respond to it. Comments are hard to come by!

*snickers* And suddenly, I can see that same sorta picture with so many of your characters all bed-headed and groggy. XD So cute.

Hmmmm...that's an interesting point, too. Could an option be to have a shared exposure poll, maybe? As in, anyone who wants to post the poll journal can do so, and then report the vote tally to you for the official count..? :x I definitely hear you, though -- as much as I enjoy comments and getting to talk with folks, it requires much more effort on the passersby's part than it does to, say, click a +FAV button. :'s

Interesting thought about a poll for best Most Pawesome of the year. :) Seems like it could be fun to see what people thought!

I'd certainly have a vote if you did one anyway.

Makes sense about having a 'cutoff point' for the Paw Post too, as a way to regulate the amount of work you're heaping on

yourself! As you say, there's always the next Paw Post.

The Most Pawesome is really cute and sweet. :) As with so many of the Most Pawesome picks, there's just so much lovely emotion there. I obviously have to say SabretoothedErmine's is a really favourite for me too... mmf, all that lovely shiny, AND showing off the paws that gorgeously!

Definitely a fan of Teaselbone's here too. As you say, what a wonderful place to be captured. ^^

Yeah... them more I think about it, the more I have my doubts that organizing a most pawesome of the year or month will go over easily. As with anything on FA, comment/feedback is very tiny compared to the number of people enjoying the paw-post. So... not sure how much point there'd be to the voting. :/

As for your liking Ermine's pic, heeee.... not surprised there. I don't even share the boot/legging thing and even I consider that insanely sexy. :3

Also yes, Tchai's stuff is incredible. What's even more so is getting to see the full Patreon stuff. OMG... the detail he renders in is astounding. I really don't like Patreon, and barely use it but he's one of just three I support on it and boy is it worth it. :3

Yeah, I can get what you mean. I have some sense of some of the 'regulars' with the paw posts from those who tend to comment, which I try to do frequently myself, but no real sense of how many others view them regularly and don't comment. In many places on FA I can be guilty of that... if I really like something I'll fave it, but tend to reserve commenting for the times I feel like I've got something more useful to actually say, which is not all the time. So yeah, hard to say if a vote like that would be worthwhile, or just involve a lot of work on your part for not a lot of response.

Tchai is definitely one of the artists I've only discovered through your Paw Posts and recently begun to follow because of it. :) His work really is neat, and it's great fun when you find an artist you're that eager to support!

Yeah... I'm beginning to think the vote thing may be a great deal more work with little end-results. :/

And yes... Tchai is really impressive. I've never seen anyone rendering 3D art who puts SO much thought into the details, poses, backgrounds and even back-story of stuff.

The scary thing is the best of it isn't seen by the general public. <_< He's wary of posting anything too fetishy to DA, so until he has time to do up an FA, Weasyl or whatever, that stuff is only on Patreon.

*chuckles* Hey, at least you're commenting now! And mmmf.... all good favourites. :3 Gorsha's work can sometimes really surprise in that there are a few she puts really impressive detail work into the paws, like that one. And...heh... yeah, you can't really go wrong with charr. :3
