Saying goodbye to my uncle

Saying goodbye to my Uncle today.
Yesterday wasn't the greatest day. my mom got mad over something my dad did involving a Christmas present for my sister and brother-in-law, we remedied the situation only to get the call no one wants to receive during the Holidays about a dying relative.
He has dementia and a tumor in his throat making it impossible for him to eat, and he keeps throwing up and his dementia has made him so far gone he probably wont remember my mom and aunt today.my mom's taking it the hardest mostly because her dad (my grandpa) died during the holidays so it's affecting her more then anyone.
I barely knew him. All I knew was he used to be a nice guy and was an excellent chef in Grand Canyon, Arizona. but I will attribute this to him, he did unknowingly teach me something. a lot of my friends and folks in the fandom know I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy my mom aunt and dying uncle have the same form of it and drinking alcohol excess makes our muscular dystrophy worse. When we got him out of my aunt's house when he went insane, well, those who've seen me IRL, put my build on someone well over 6 foot tall and I weighed more then him. Scary huh?
That said however, I don't see him as the uncle who went insane and killed himself with alcohol and chewing tobacco, I see and would like to remember him as the uncle who inadvertently taught me to not drink in excess. Sure I have just A drink if offered, but I probs won't finish it all or if I do One and done. or I may say no all together. I really don't want to end up like him at his age. I got too much to live for, but still I do hope he goes peacefully.
RIP Uncle Clifford.
