he lusts for power, to control others. he likes working in companies, rebuilding them from the inside out. he's extremely manipulative.
he wants to overtake Najat (my Arabian cobra character) as CEO of Anapnea Ltd someday. he's biding his time, he's very patient.

as far as sexual fantasies go, he's the kind of guy who would love to remove a male's limbs, suspend him from the ceiling; make him completely dependent on him for everything, existing as barely more than a fucktoy. Gray may have done this before.

absolutely! he definitely lives up to the fox stereotype when it comes to cleverness.

his biggest fear is snakes, you can read my response to ProfesseurRenard below which gives some more details. mostly, he doesn't like the fact there might be a creature more "cold-blooded" than him. he also doesn't trust them at all, and their skin disgusts him to the touch.
Gray once had a partner, back when he allowed himself the luxury of friends. a brindle pit bull who was as close to him as his own blood brother. they had saved each other's lives countless times. the dog's loyalty was never a question, he would have followed the fox to hell and back. Gray had to betray his best friend to military police in order to secure his own visa to the US years and years ago. he regrets the fact that his friend found out. You know what they say, an eye for an eye. And his friend paid with more than an eye.
Gray's biggest insecurity would have to be his age. he's always looked older than he actually was, due to his gray fur. he's pretty self-conscious about aging.

ooooh yes!! this is gonna take some thinking. what a nice challenge!

Nuit lost her virginity a little after her 19th birthday, in the loud and dirty bathroom of a club with a college-aged gypsy vanner horse. he cut his mane short and back in a bun, and painted his arms with stripes of blacklight paint. it was consensual, but the details are really hazy. there were definitely some drugs involved. not roofies, but probably lsd. it wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't a lasting relationship. she was homeless at the time and needed a place to stay.
Her biggest regret is probably not finishing high school. she's extremely smart and interested in science. if she didn't work for the Anapnea company, she'd probably want to be a surgeon. As it is, she gets to cut people up fairly often, without the pesky moral obligations that come with practicing medicine. and her practical knowledge of anatomy from her own personal research (and a little bit of tutoring from Vasili in the morgue) is enough to make her very dangerous.
Nuit's biggest insecurity is with her scars; sex-work was the best way she could think of to support herself, and she was very afraid that her scars would make her imperfect and undesirable. she hides it well, but they still make her very self conscious, because they're on her face, neck, and between her breasts. stuff that's bared often. Max lets her know how much he loves her scars every chance he gets.

Prudence is pan as heck and super open about sex and nudity. she usually goes nude around her apartment. she sometimes says she was born in a nudist colony, but this isn't true. she's from Indiana farm country. she's a total city girl, but has to keep plants in her apartment, a little tie to nature, and often goes hiking on her days off.
her first real sexual experience was when she was 20 with a girl from a couple towns over, in the bed of her dad's work truck. Pru was warm enough with her fur, but her partner was a lizard, and it was a frosty November night. Pru had gone down on her first, and when it was the lizard's turn, she was too cold and worn out to continue, so Pru didn't have a very satisfying experience.
in hindsight, that lizard probably could have actually died lmao.

Relationship status: he's in an open relationship with Nuit. anything's fine as long as they communicate about it, but Max will always belong to her. he prefers to be dominated by females, so when he's having a relationship with another male, he likes to call the shots. the only other man he's really enjoyed the company of is Sam Broussard. Max is bi, but really picky about his guys.
His ideal mate; he hasn't thought about it much. he's drawn to ladies for long term relationships, but he's never felt comfortable with the idea of spending the rest of his life with just one person. being a mongoose, he doesn't mind the idea of being alone, but he'd rather share life with lots of people.
i guess an ideal mate would have to have an open mind about that and be willing to give him space so he doesn't feel smothered. he's not so good with commitment.
he's looking for like...friends with benefits, without the possible awkward. it's really hard to find that balance. a lot of people tend to be really possessive.

personality: i know you can't have a character who doesn't talk, but Norrel is supposed to be mute; shrapnel that tore up his throat. it's a miracle he didn't die. he's got a cold exterior, but inside he's a goddamn puppy. he's pretty charismatic, super obedient and eager to please. he takes every opportunity that he can to relax. once he opens up to you, you might wonder how a person like this survives the wasteland on a daily basis. as soon as he gets in his scope, however, the soldier comes out and he's all business. his wife, Luz, was his spotter. she always watched his back and did the cqc work. every time he gets out his melee weapons or her shotgun, there's a shocking ferocity that comes out of him. Pure rage and relish in the pain of tearing flesh that is kind of a terrifying contrast. it often takes him a while to calm this bloodlust. he feels pretty bad about it afterwards and asks his companions if they're still good to go with him.

Maxwell's favorite colour is gold, the bright gold of aspen leaves in the fall. His biggest insecurity would have to be related to his anxiety. mostly social. he doesn't talk that much to his coworkers. he's prone to feelings of worthlessness, derived from his perfectionism. he beats himself up over his mistakes constantly, though only someone who knows him well would see when he's having one of these episodes.
Gray's biggest fear i'm actually gonna answer above. his worst romantic experience was with Najat, though he'd never let her know. they maintain a professional relationship, with a bit of friendly flirting, though both are planning to kill the other at the first opportunity. his sexual encounter with her awakened a primal fear of snakes he didn't really know he had. it was the long coils winding around him, the retractable fangs, her hissing exclamations. he doesn't like the feeling of reptile skin.
Njall likes ambient tracks, post-rock with orchestral elements, like 65daysofstatic and Nattoppet. stuff with no words. His weapon of choice is definitely heavy, blunt weapons like hammers, bats, or staffs. he takes pride in his strength, and his body is as much a weapon as anything else.

he's popular and skilled as an executioner due to his methods and attitude, but Max is just an employee of Anapnea LTD! Nuit's actually been a company employee for longer.
the CEO of the company is Najat Zaman, an Arabian cobra, who rules the company like a queen over her kingdom, though there are rumours that there are others (other, even richer businessmen and black market kingpins) even higher above her pulling her strings. she is absolutely ruthless, but a complete charmer. below her is Thomas Reed, a python who is basically her adopted son. he's best at interpreting her volatile moods and softening her orders.
one person she's been particularly kind to is Max, she almost views him as an equal, her plan is likely to groom him to take over the company one day; a contingency plan should she fail in her cat-and-mouse game of murder with her business partner Gilbert Gray. Thomas doesn't have the stomach (HA cause he's a python) to organize the business as tightly as it must be.
she started out as a sex worker, but after a close encounter with a client who was after her life rather than her company, she broke off from that trade. but she couldn't escape it entirely. her initial goal and continued motivation is riches; sating the appetites of the depraved and the rich, and she relished the great challenge of orchestrating legal murder. it ended up being much more sensual and consensual than even she could guess. and she has blackmail power over a great many national and international figures and politicians. she is a loaded deck of cards and plays a most dangerous game.
