If you got neighbors burning wood for heat, and the smoke is getting into your house, you should get tested for wood allergies. I know I get bad pressure headaches at times from that (due to an oak allergy).

Na, no woodsmoke I can detect, and I grew up with a wood burning stove in the house and never had issues (and it got used A LOT, Vermont is cold in the winter). More likely it's the pressure change from the cold front that's been sweeping through that's doing it. I don't get headaches like this very often, but when it does happen I have to go hide from light and loud noise for a while.

I know that feeling, I've had more onsets this past month than in a while! <gives a hug and a darkshower, offers some goodies for the next onset because caffine+Asperine is her savior sometimes>

Caffeine and ibuprofen and a few hours hiding in the dark and quiet (with kitties) helped a lot. I feel almost human again.

I usually take a shower in a pitch-dark Bathroom too, the warmth helps till the Caffeine kicks in. The warmth also helps your veins flow more blood to help with the onset better. Yay for feeling better!

Eww,those are miserable. Avoid the evil of the painful light and hopefully feel better soon. I'mjust uselessand miserable too often with those, so I can empathize. :(

I don't get them very often, but dear god it sucks when they do hit. x.x I'd been dealing with it for a couple hours hoping it would just go away before I gave up and went to hide in the dark for a while. That did help, though.

migraines suck. i get them all the time too. rest up.

Migraines are horrid, I remember getting one at a huge museum in Camberra Australia, it seriously hammered me so badly I had to take a cab back to the hotel. I recall puking my guts out in the parking lot, going into the room and laying down. 6 hours later waking up, rushing back to the museum to join my friends with a half hour to see what I could.
