Yes... so as the subject says - COMMENT! The artist highlight for today, Rukaisho, was saying he'd love to see comments from folks, and this is something other artists and character owners have said as well. Feedback is important, not just for me on this Post, but for the kind folks who contribute their time to provide the highlights as well. ZP92ARGH... this was a tough one. So tough I actually asked a couple others, sharing with them my four top picks. This was what both picked, and was one of the top two I couldn't decide on, so this is the one I went with! Not only does this lady have very, VERY attractive footpaws, but we get such a close up, head-on view of them as if we were the lucky souls who were getting to reach out and hold them. I also love the sweet nature of this picture - a pregnant female who's been on her feet a long while, and they're probably sore from all the walking and extra weight. How wonderfully rewarding would it be to give them a massage, or maybe even see her laugh if you tickled them a bit in your attempt to massage them? This is just very sweet and simple. Also, thank you to my friends for helping this old dragon decide. ;)

SO MANY NICE FEET. O_o Zack really knows how to keep us drooling, doesn't he? Here we have three hyena sisters being "tested" to see how resists tickles the best. The one doing the tickling is another sister too - and notice she's repeated this test quite a number of times already. Hur hur. Here's Tenchi, who just used a little of his magic to get bigger and plunk his huge feet up on the coffee table to wiggle about teasingly. Looks like he's purposely made them extra big too - probably just to wait and see the reaction of his mate Rain when he walks in. Just look for my comment in the thread and you'll pretty much see -my- honest reaction. XD Gorgeous HUGE toes and soles on Tenchi, and a footpaw so big you could just hug it and bury your face between those big digits. <3 So love this. :3

Rukaisho!
Rukaisho(TC) I stumbled upon Rukaisho several years ago, before he was Rukaisho! Back then he used to publish under a couple other names, and right off the bat I could tell it was work I'd enjoy by some very lovely footpaw art, particularly from a character he frequently drew named Malice. And yes... I smell a character feature coming up eventually. <_< Over the years, Rukaisho is done SO many neat pictures, and also does a lot of 'stuck-paw" fetish art, which isn't so common place. When I asked if he would like to be a highlight, he agreed and we were able to do a great live Q&A session on Skype. So sit back and enjoy!

Some (live) Q&A(TC) Thanks for being willing to be today's highlight! So doesn't take long for anyone browsing through your gallery to see you have a thing for paws. What sort of things is that you like about them?
(Rukaisho) I've had a fetish for feet for as long as I can remember. I do like human feet, but I have a particular fondness for anthro footpaws. Mainly of the canine and feline variety. Something about those long arches on digitigrade paws as well as the big soft padded toes really appeals to me.
(TC) I can relate - known I've liked feet most of my life as well, but definitely prefer anthro to human. So is it an aesthetic/visual appeal, or are there other potential things you like (or dislike) about them too, such as texture, warmth, scent - anything like that? Be as descriptive as you like with the answer.
(Rukaisho) Mostly aesthetic. At least from the art standpoint. I love how soft looking and cuddly they look. It's strange though because my tastes differ when it comes to paws. I find myself drawn to the bigger more cartoony style that some artists draw opposed to the more photorealistic ones. I don't find paws nearly as appealing irl.
(TC) *nods* Yeah, I can certainly get that - IRL, they're far more animal, where as anthro they would be bigger, better kept and such. Though yes, you do draw them nice and big (love that) which I think is more befitting of an anthro. :) Now... one would also noticed checking your gallery that you have a LOT of stuff with paws in squishy or sticky liquids. Care to explain?
(Rukaisho) It's a very obscure fetish of mine which is regrettably not as well known as other weird fetishes that I don't personally care for (ie: Vore). I mostly picked it up from watching StickyBarbi's videos on Youtube. A scenario where a good looking fur steps their bare paws into a sticky substance (Glue, Tar, Slime, etc) and find themselves stuck in place. The goop clinging to their furry soles and preventing them from escaping and leaving them vulnerable.
You could compare it to other forms of bondage, though it mainly focuses on the paws. I just really like seeing the substances stretch beneath their soles and oozing up between their big furry toes.
(TC) Huh... interesting; personally never thought of the bondage angle there, but yeah... can totally see that now. So it's another thing that paws play into. Outside of paws, you draw some very amazing looking characters - great fur line work, and honestly I have to say... when it comes to breasts, you are pretty epic. What sort of character is your favourite to draw, and why?
(Rukaisho) I mostly like drawing characters with fur as opposed to ones with skin or scales. I just love the fluff, which I always depict in my characters. Especially around the chest and paw area.
One of my biggest pet peeves about some furry artists is when they don't make the characters look... well... furry. In a lot of cases, they just look like humans wearing body paints and an animal head, which I find really unappealing.
When I draw them, I want them to look plush and soft. A character that you would love to snuggle up against in bed. Which is another reason for the big soft breasts. You wouldn't want to resist resting your head between them. (heart)
Other than that, I do like drawing characters with unique designs, species and fur patterns. Something very visually appealing that makes them a lot of fun to draw as opposed to "generic red fox #5".
(TC) Good point! I'm always surprised by how little fur-work goes into some characters. Umm... also... very much agreed with your breasts thing - and I blame Malice for that. ;) So... on that note, besides paws, are breasts another of the things you really enjoy portraying?
(Rukaisho) Heh. Of course. Gotta love the big pillowy breasts. I'll admit though, I do tend to draw my characters with very similar body proportions. So I tend to mix things up a little with characters like Light (My Eastern dragon girl) who is rather petite around the chest area. I also have been drawing male characters fairly regularly as well. I wouldn't consider myself bisexual, but I do like images of good looking male furries.
(TC) Is there a particular character type you like drawing more so than others?
(Rukaisho) Mammalian characters, mostly. Preferably of the canine variety. Though, I can make exceptions if I find a character appealing enough.
(TC) How about the other end of the spectrum - any character types that are just an instant "NOPE!"?
(Rukaisho) Characters with ugly looking feet/paws are definitely an instant nope for me. Other than that, it really depends. I have seen nice and nasty looking characters for all species.
(TC) Hmm, so speaking of which, back to feet/paws - you said you like them IRL as well - do you find you're pretty choosey about human ones in terms of what actually looks good (I know I am)?
(Rukaisho) Unlike feetpaws where I like them regardless of gender, I only like female human feet. Especially ones that are looked after. I do find myself to be very picky though about what I find appealing irl though. That's probably one of the reasons why I find myself drawn towards paw art.
(TC) *nods* Yeah, IRL, I find only 4 to 5% of females really qualify as having "nice" and well kept ones. So with your art, how long have you been at it? And was it always "furry" in nature?
(Rukaisho) My earliest exposure to furries would have to be Disney's Robin Hood since a very young age. I didn't start drawing them until I was 10 (I'm 31 now, 32 in July). I found myself inspired by Jay Axer's early anthro artwork which I admittedly tried to replicate to some degree. Hence why my very early stuff had a very anime'ish style to them. Since 2012 though, I gave my drawing style a big revamp and made my characters look more like traditional furries. (ie: longer muzzles. More fluff. Digitigrade paws etc).
(TC) Nice! And I remember seeing that transition too when you were still using your older alias. Alright, one more question - and what I always end on; do you have anything you'd like to say to the folks on the Paw-Post and fans of your work?
(Rukaisho) Thanks for following and supporting my work over the years. Oh! And spread the word about Stuck paw fetish art. FA needs more of it. =P

I really like bonk's feature this time -- very nicely drawn humanoid feet! Which is a tricky thing to manage, let me tell you. Lovely definition all around! Plus the image itself just speaks of relaxation and warmth -- something the folks on the Eastern US coastline might be pining for right about now. :P

Very interesting highlight this time! I have to say, I wasn't even remotely aware of that particular fetish at all. I can't say it appeals to me personally, but I can absolutely understand it from an intermingling of certain bondage tastes and paw appreciation, particularly folks who are into the aspect of helplessness and/or immobility -- I hope this helps bring that interest to light a little, so Rukaisho has an easier time finding art of it. :3
Yeah, you're kinda right in that mess that's happening across the Eastern US right now. Blech. Either that or the consistent cold up here does add extra appeal to Bonk's feature. What I liked is that feet are human-ish, but not completely a simple human copy. Finding that middle ground between human and a paw (C2 type) can be very tricky.
And yes - exactly what I thought. I mean, I've seen Rukaisho draw that particular stuff for years, and while not into it either, I never really made any connection to the bondage aspect of it until he said it, then it was like a light going on. I think that's a very unique sub-sect of what bondage entails, and it's cool that there's a lot of folks who find an interest in it.
It's definitely an interesting foot setup -- not what I usually see in anthro feet, haha. :3
Yeah, I agree. It's always odd to have an interest that seems unique or uncommon; in a few ways, I think I might be able to empathize with Rukaisho, albeit from a different platform. Finding others with like interests is always a really awesome moment. :D

The artist highlight is interesting. Rukaisho drew one of my favourite pictures ever, love the style. While the "sticky situation" is something special when it comes to kinks, it gives us all something nice to look at. So I always like to see it. ^_^

Dig the music pick too, though I can probably stop saying that on every single Paw Post because I'm consistently finding that I've got pretty similar tastes in music to you! I'm always in particular a fan of that kind of chill-out trancey stuff though.
CarCar's commission by Toros obviously appeals. CarCar commissions often strike the right chords with me! RickGriffin's picture of that adorable couple painting each other's toeclaws definitely made me squee too. ^^ And mmf, TideKeeper's contribution too... can definitely see what you mean about Most Pawesome being such a tough choice this time!
As always, very much enjoyed the feature. :) Rukaisho is another of many artists that I pay more attention to thanks to the paw posts, and mmmf I still absolutely adore the design of those sandal boots!

Yep - Most Pawesome Picture can sometimes be a real struggle when you have so many good front-runners. That's often when I ask friends who are on-line at the time to share their thoughts with my top picks. A tie-breaker of sorts. XD In this case, I had to ask two people because one wasn't quite enough to decide for certain. But like I said, honestly it's a good problem to have.
*grins* Oh gods yes... those sandal-boots... Like, even I like those and I'm not really into the footwear thing. Those are just SO teasingly designed to show off her feet that it's hard not to like them. Glad you liked the feature. I find them just as eye-opening too because I learn just as much as you guys do when I do these. :)
And yeah, been squirming at that boot design ever since I first saw it. ;) As you say, it shows off the paws beautifully, but brings that dominant boot shape and a bit of leather into play too... they seriously need to make more things like that IRL. ^^; And yeah, the features are always such a neat thing, a chance to get to know the artists behind the art that much better. In doing so it's often been the thing that pushes me over the edge from 'hey they make really neat art' to 'okay I'm gonna watch this person now.'
I like parts of these pawposts. I'm still learning them. :> And reading Rukaisho's interview.... oh man I could explode some SERIOUSLY slimy sticky sole splattering at you, and others. Stuff that would make people learn they were into messes they didn't know they liked |3
Glad you read the highlight too - there's plenty of past ones you can check out too if you wish. I'm not into the goo/splatter stuff myself, BUT... as Rukaisho points out, there are plenty who are - so you might find you gain a lot of folks interested in your work if you tried that. Doesn't even have to be "mature" in nature - I think plenty of folks into that would just enjoy more quality paws in stuff. XD And you do very nice paws. :)
