We've met a lot of new people out here and attended new cons. Got to experience my first blizzard ever. There's also so much to do in the NYC metro area, and it doesn't take long to visit bordering states. It's a whole different world out here compared to California! I do miss the friends and family we left behind though. :<

I found a full-time salaried job with benefits so I'm in the process of paying off my credit cards before we get our own place. Once we get our own place we can invite our friends and family to visit here. Once I've worked awhile I'll also get 3-4 weeks of paid time off each year to fly out to the west coast. It'll take time but it definitely feels good knowing that I'm on the right track.

Our next con will most likely be BLFC. We already have a hotel room reserved for it so we might be reaching out to friends soon to see if they'd be interested in rooming with us. BLFC is probably our second favorite con so we wouldn't dare miss out on that!
