Some art makes me feel inadequate.
So you browse around FA like a random wanker looking for a fix and you see a YCH. Hard to tell if it'd be good. Kinda too expensive for me anyway, but it's just curiosity that led me here so whatev's, man, whatev's. Still maybe the genuine art might be good since it looks like it's very inspired by Onta. And I like Onta's stuff. So why naht, yaknow, why naht, it's discovery time and stuff. Let's dive deep into the rabbit hole with our inquisitive penus.
Surprise ! It's crap. (I'd like to point out that it's actually only a surprise if you took it all figuratively, cos I'm sure you're bound to find crap in litteral rabbit holes. Then again I could have said that sarcastically, who knows.)
It's not the most awful things you'd ever see, it's just painfully average, the anatomy is wonky, the lighting doesn't give any bounce to the characters' shapes, the artstyle doesn't ooze with personality... It's just utterly flat. Mediocre.
"But it's just your personal subjective opinion that" - Shhhhhhhh. It's okay, it's okay. You're wrong. It's okay.
But gosh does it seems popular, around 700-1000 views per porn pic, plus faster and higher growth in terms of watchers ! Lotsa commissions in there too. Let's check the prices.

More than 80 for a single pinup, 40 more for each additional character, 20 more for background... for bland boring average porn that could not give me a woody even if it shove a tree up my ass...

This is just me being gratuitously mean instead of going to the artist and write constructive criticism. Cos fuggit yaknow ! People seem to like it, the artist gets money, everything's good. The price of art is determined by the artist trying to keep a stream of clients flowing regularly while taking in as much money as these clients are willing to give without drying up. So it's all good, right.
I watched too much GradeAUnderA and now I'm saying right all the time, right. Also I bet there are people who want to leave a shout on my page right now and are tired of this needlessly long journal to reach the shoutbox. Screw you I don't care.
Back on track, I ain't jealous. I'm not as greedy as I should be, I'm not making three hundreds differents prices for each possible variants of comishuns (because it's FUCKING ANNOYING), I'm not posting my art on enough websites to get famous and no one will do it for me (you're all lazy fucks), basically don't be like me cos I'm awful at being rich and famous.
But it made me ponder about the quality of my art. Not because I think it's bad, in fact I think it's quite alright ! I think it's gotten much better this past year, more details are to be found, linework is more consistent (but characters aren't SHHHH DON'T LISTEN TO THAT), shading make the characters' curves more apparent (butts, butts, butts), nipples get nommed, holes get creamed, it's all good, right ?
But what if I just wasn't seing the flaws of my own art properly ? Granted, it's a VERY UNLIKELY PROPOSITION, I'm awesome, but I mean look at this situation, someone is very popular with art of a questionable quality and instead of telling it to the artist I come here where I know I won't get any real backlash and won't hurt anyone's feelings. What if I inspired the same reaction and instead of criticizing my work, people who would are just moving on silently ?
I am content with the way I do things, I don't have great aspirations when it comes to my art. People often say "don't focus too much on finding your own style, just focus on being good !" BUT FUCK THESE PEOPLE. When I was a wee artist I wanted my art to look the way it does today. Now I'm just going to tweak it but chances are it'll never look drastically different from how it does today. What if it's as good as it gets ? Even forgeting the quality of it, what if the very style is something keeping people from getting invested in my art ?
Can you EVEN imagine such tasteless people ? I can't. I'm awesome.

If youre asking why youre not more popular.That I cant answerreally ,part of popularity certainly isnt quality of work but a combination of factors including how much you sell yourself,how easy you are to work with,what you draw and how much you charge,also just general personality too .

I personally like your art more than a few other ones that I've seen, because you have a really unique look to your art. It stands out and it's pretty awesome.
Your art is very stylized, but there's not wrong with the style. It's a good style. And your forms and details have improved (better shading, nice backgrounds, interesting lighting, dynamic compositions) since I started watching you.
Are there a lot of people getting ridiculous attention and paper for mediocre work? Yep. Does this make artists who churn out consistently higher quality work with a lot less attention and paper reward feel bad? All the time.

All in all i never had any really bad experience with the community, I don't really pay attention to it anyway. I don't care to belong.
So people will go watch, and throw money at your basic, boring Onta clone. And not you. And that's how it is and I'm pretty pissed about it myself.
I'm not sure why your stuff doesn't get the same attention that some other stuff gets. Popularity is a weird thing.
