As of yesterday, the necessary character designs have been completed, and Andrea and I have begun working on the first few pages of Issue #1!
Issues will be a little bigger than Issue #0, too. Expect a little over 20 pages per issue this time. I'd like to think of Issue #0 as the kind of comic that would be circulated on Free Comic Book Day, even though it was not completed in May. :)
For the moment, of course, I'm not putting price tags on these comics...but if we get enough people enjoying it, who knows? Maybe Andrea and I will bring this to indie-savvy Comixology.com in the near future. ;)
Expect to be brought up to speed on all the notable happenings of the 13 books Baum wrote following the first one, which go above and beyond what has happened in the more popular movies based on Oz(the 1939 film, and Disney's "Return to Oz", which poorly(IMHO, anyway) combined the second and third books into one film). Then we'll get back to the present, and find out who else Le Quin wants to induct into her growing collective!
Be on the lookout for the cover preview, as that will be an indication that the pages of Issue #1 are about to go live!

Saw your page, btw. Very nice art pieces! Loved the anthro versions of the "Clue" characters. :)
Wonder how you'd pachyderm-ize the Oz characters? ;)
