Those shitwit parents don't have a damn clue what it's like to work in the service industry. Stupid people. :|

Thankfully we don't get the really terrible parents in often, but because it was a holiday, we had at least... three or four families between two shifts that were notable.

Same with the really nasty customers, we never truly get those, but last month we had one woman pitch such a big fit that we needed the cops

But the majority of customers are pretty average

Yeah, otherwise everyone working would quit and the business would shut down if every customer was like that. It's amazing how some people just leave their brains and common sense at home when they go out to eat. These assholes are the ones who end up posted online, but at least they get laughed at because of it.

Still, I don't mind my work. My co-workers appreciate me, while I'm paid the minimum wage my 2% tip out is really nice, especially on good nights, and I get a 25% Employee Discount

Worse I saw in my DMO days was adults bringing in baggies of cereal for their kid and then having them pour it directly onto the carpet and then leaving the carpet and table and every single dirty plate COATED IN BREAKFAST CEREAL!

I stopped hauling tubs of dishes to help the servers clean that one up. It was insane.

I hate that crap. While not as bad as that, I do normally clean up small bits of cereal, usually stuff brought in for little 2 to 4 year olds.

My favorite was picking up garbage from the Chick-fila that this table had brought in for their kid.

Oh yeah that's a pain too. When I worked in a cafe connected to a store, a family of 9 unwrapped a huge playset and left the entire box and every scrap of plastic packaging on top of the table as well as three grocery bags full of empty cans, plastic and chip bags.

Yeah people suck ...and people with kids (in restaurants) suck even more! They have ruined more meals for me than I care to recount. Children should be forbidden in nice places ...and some people too.
