It's the same philosophy that explains why college dorms need constant repair. I recall a massive flood that occurred my freshman year at university, when two chaps playing lacrosse in the hallway broke a water sprinkler. Looked like Niagara Falls (without Moe Howard).

Heh. The closest I experienced to that was a fire alarm at 3 AM in December after somebody left something to burn on an active stove...for an hour.
