Yep. It sucks.

Agreed. It takes things that give you joy and mutes or sours them. It makes you dwell on thoughts and worries more than it should.

Indeed; these past couple days have really shown that to be true. But I think I've been able to pull myself out of it for now.

Yes, yes it does. Can't say much else on depression itself other than what Geemo already wrote. Hang in there, always remember that you are worthy of being loved and that you have people who want to see you succeed. <3

I'm definitely glad to hear that. It's easy to forget sometimes.

Give yourself some time, and do things spontaneously. Write a list of things, that you made today, and write a short plan, even stupid things like: Make a good dinner, listen to whole album, clean up your room etc. It maybe look stupid, but your mind need to understand that you actually can do something successfully. After that, if you like drawing, draw something completly new, something diffrent, like interior design, landscape, original character design, comic etc.

I'll have to give that a try. Scheduling for me has always been a little wonky with how chaotic my life can get. And I definitely want to draw more different things. ... I should consider maybe posting sketches; there's sooo many things that I've drawn that I never post. Probably accounts for... 80% to 90% of the stuff that I draw.

It can be a good idea. Sometimes people have deppresion, becouse they dont have a goals, small ones and most important big ones. Brain always looks a logic. You're doin somthing becouse there is a reason of it. Diffrences between humans and animals is that we NEED to FIND a purpose of life! Animals have those: survive and reproduct, becouse of pure biology. If your brain will ask, what is a purpose of living this unit, how you will answer? If you have a goal, even a small one, like making a hyperrealistic drawing, you will have an energy and determination to make this happen.

I'm definitely better after something that happened last night, so hopefully this turn can lead to better things. [hugs you back tightly]

It really does. I had to go through a major lifestyle change to subdue my own, I hope you have an easier time with it. If not, your friends, online and off, will, or at least, should, be willing to listen and be there for you when you need them. Don't be afraid to talk about it with them, sometimes it's the only way to work through it and get certain things off your mind.

Just seeing these five supportive comments from you all helped a lot. It's hard when you feel alone and, to be honest, I didn't even think anyone would comment on this dumb journal. So thank you so much. I feel like I'm almost out of it after having a significant upturn last night; I ended up talking it out with one of the people I was having internal issues with, like you'd suggested, and the end result was extremely positive. I'm not fully out of it yet, But I'm on my way up.

That's pretty awesome, I'm glad to hear that you're getting some resolution just by talking with folks.

It really does. Just remember that people care about you, and you matter. Talk to someone perhaps and really let yourself be vulnerable, it can help you become stronger.
