My thoughts on BVS
Well.... I finally saw Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
DC/WB... you had THREE YEARS to get your act together... AND YOU GAVE US THIS?! THIS PILE OF UTTER CRAP!?!
My God, the plot and pacing were so all over the place, like 5 different stories are going on at once, still hate Superman, Lois Lane is just tacked on, nothing felt genuine or natural, this entire movies just shoves in crap to branch off into other movies. Things in this movie just go to a screeching halt.
BATMAN KILLS IN THIS MOVIE! And there's no scene where Alfred's appalled by it?! One of the smartest people of DC is ONCE AGAIN portrayed like an idiot.
Wonder Woman was NOT needed in this thing. In fact her movie shoulda came out before this. It's like prequels, you know the main hero's gonna be fine, so why even bother?
Like Man of Steel, I have no reason to root for or even care about Superman, even when he dies, spoiler alert.
I knew Essenburg was going to SUCK as Lex Luthor from the moment I heard he was cast. Good Lord, every time I heard him talk, I wanted to put a bullet in his brain.
Those dream sequences were so unnecessary. AND JESUS CHRIST, STOP ALIENATING ALL THE NON-CHRISTIAN FANS OF DC CHARACTERS WITH YOU KEEP SHOVING RELIGION IN OUR FACES!!!!!!!
Absolutely NOTHING in this movie made any semblance of sense. And the music, oh boy, that irritating Hans Zimmer 'BWOM BWOM' music! And there was just annoying other music in scenes that felt so out of place.
Guys... I think I hate this movie MORE THAN FANT4STIC. I did not think that was possible. I'm not exageratting hereThis was all just WB/DC's attempt to catch up with Marvel.
I cannot think of one true positive about this movie, not even the good fight scenes, because they're waged by characters that I found myself hating throughout this friggin' thing.
I really want to see a Justice League movie, and I thought this was going to be the jumping point to that. But now... I have no faith in DC/WB in their live action films anymore. In fact, now I'm contemplating on whether or not I want to see 'Suicide Squad', or even the new Wonder Woman movie. I'm sticking with Marvel films/cartoons and the DC TV series, cuz they have characters that are likable and we wanna root for. And guys, this Supergirl/Flash team-up coming this Monday... that's the closest we're ever getting to a Justice League. This movie set us back two steps in getting that.
Thanks for your time

So far, this has been less of a problem for Marvel-based movies than for DC-based movies.
Yep, they had one job and they blew it. That and the "Must kill Superman!" thingie, something Batman would never even think of.
There should have been someone from DC who should have come to the writer's room and say "OK, guys, you obviously don't get the character, get out. Batman 89 had the excuse of being the first serious Batman movie so Batman could kill because the rest of the character was spot-on, but yours has none".
I'm ready for everything at this point, sadly.
I'm guessing he partially based on that version.
Maybe the Joker did something to Robin and Batman came to the conclusion that all villains must die. I don't know, just give me something I wanna know why he kills. I'm all for different iterations of Batman but at least give us a reason as to why he does what he does so we can understand and maybe sympathize with him.
BTW I'm open for coms ^^
Guess I'll save my ticket money for something worth watching.
Good I shoulda just watched Deadpool again, or Fat Greek Wedding 2
Manslaughter VS Murder.
I did Like a few moments in the movie but that's all the were ... moments
Batman was to old as well. think about it. Batman was ten when his parents died in the opening (Which came across as a cool, cool, depressing, cool moment) then leaves for some time is batman around 25 and 20 years later so he's around 45-50 in the movie Which means Alfred is as old as dirt by this point in time.
Dc is trying to hard to catch up to marvel and by this point in time I think the only way to do that is to stop shooting themselves in the foot. By thise point in time there is not much foot left.
I kept asking myself that, how old is Bruce really, and how old is Alfred.
I sadly have nothing else to add to this, the movie sounds terrible and I am glad I don't go out and see every superhero movie, so far Deadpool has been the most fun I've had and made an exception for seeing a comic book movie.
I saw it the day it was released. And to be honest, I really didn't like it too much. They had to cut quite a few things out of the movie and it did feel like that. Not to mention Ben didn't work well with batman. Regardless I saw it for one reason. I wanted to see it because I wanted to see the two people fight. I got what I wanted. And I really didn't like the movie.
this is one of the reasons why I dont like DC movies. Another is Watchmen, another was Man of Steel.
It feels like most DC comics don't mesh well with the big screen. Then again it's mainly black and white since DC only does justice and stuff like that. but that's a different argument.
Overall, I never really liked the live action DC films. I just watched to see them fight(which felt anticlimactic). But...regardless... It was just...no.
I'm a fan of how marvel is for a reason. Their characters are always more colorful. They're easier to portray on film than DC(exceptions being the Fant4stic film. Thank god I didn't see that).
Overall, I think the movie was not as good as it would have been. but DC characters are more complex than they marvel which is why they're great for television series. So I'm not terribly annoyed by this. I just hope DC/WB can get their shit together and fix their mistakes.
