Mine was all the free sodas at work. I was up to a six-pack a day. I cut back bit by bit until I went cold turkey almost 2 years ago. Now if I take a sip, I find it way too sweet. Now I drink mostly unsweetened tea with a little sweet tea mixed in to take off the edge. I am taking pills too and it seems to be working despite my continue weakness for chocolates from time to time.
I'll be able to indulge once in a while after my blood sugar is down to safe levels.. stupid pharmacy needs dr approval even after dr sent the damn perscription for the other med, $400 otherwise for a month..
my numbers were over 400.. this morning 226.. so getting there!
Sounds good. I started off with 4 of these giant horse pills a day but the doctor reduced it to 2 a day. Mine is only $8 though.
I cut back on salt too and now find most foods way too salty. The American diet is chocked full of salt and high fructose corn syrup and extremely hard to avoid especially HFCS as it is in almost everything.
