If you saw the artist comments on my latest upload (Rally Flag ref sheet), you'll recall that I was actually a bit unhappy with everything I've written up until this point due to criticism. It wasn't hateful stuff, but actual honest criticism that showed me flaws that no one had actually pointed out until then. As a result, I started to feel like I'd wasted all my time writing up until this point, which is obviously not a good place to be. This had a couple of main consequences, neither of which was me quitting writing altogether so you can start breathing again.
First of all, I decided to restart all of my Rally Flag EQG writing. It's going to be more or less the same story idea (forbidden love between student and principal), but just them instead of the accidental branching out into other girls thing that wasn't supposed to happen in the first place.
Secondly, and this will likely be the most important thing for most of you. While I can feel comfortable restarting Rally Flag as he doesn't feel like he's as far in, I can't say the same thing for Wolf's Series. As much as I know I'm going to be disappointing most of you with this, I just can't see myself returning to finish Wolf's Series.
Why? I've been thinking about this lately, and I think the honest problem I have is that the story line started to go off into this amazing, epic saga that was just not what I wanted to write about. Everything sounds great in my head, but it's become this whole thing that is well and truly NOT what I wanted to do when I started - write about a trainer and his pokemon having a relationship (remember that whole 'forbidden love' thing I mentioned earlier?). Overall I feel like the stuff I want to write is about the relationships characters have with one another, and chapters like the last three for Wolf's Hunt are the kinda thing that works for me. We had Wolf and Flannery grow closer to one another, Lucky and Kai get at each other's throats and a chapter that highlighted how Wolf's pokemon felt about him. These are fun, and a whole daemon lord hell bent on destroying everything thing feels like it's derailing that too much. It's also why I've kinda fallen off writing about pony Rally as well, in that I had an idea to include a whole epic war part to the story and the only stuff that got written for him was flashback stuff involving him and Celestia.
This doesn't mean Wolf and his pokemon are being retired permanently, just that I likely won't be finishing the writing for Wolf's Hunt. You guys won't be left wondering what happened though, as I'll most likely commission some pictures for some pivotal moments and explain what was going to happen with them. At least you'll be getting something more than me just telling you what was going to happen and dropping it.
I might find some inspiration to do fun stuff for them in the future. Right now I just need to get one thing in order at a time, and due to my still current inspiration and the fact that most of everything I've commissioned for quite some time was EQG related that one thing will be Rally Flag.

He's a writer who went through exactly what you did, be informed of some flaws that no one ever pointed out to him. He had some pretty similar reactions, I suspect you two might have much to talk about!
I had some Storys in the Past... and never ended one of the longer ones.
That is why I have Problems to begin a new one, even if I have some very good Ideas to it.
(You know which one I mean. ^^ )
To your Characters:
I havne only read a few storys of your Rally Flagg Character in Pony or Human Universe, so I can't talk much about them.
If you think they need a Restart, or a little different Story, it's up to you.
But bring in a War in a Story is a BIG THING!
You know that War never Changes, but change all who paticipate in it, right?
And mostly not to the good...
There is never a Winner in a War, only one side that lose a little less then the other Side.
Better never put a War in a Story that was peaceful before.
For Wolfs Story...
It isn't a Problem for me, that you let down Wolfs Hunt.
I had a Similar Story written some Time before, but havn't ended it too.
It was over a "Dark Power" that came back from another Dimension and transformed Pokemon in Brutal and Daemonlike Abominations, and the Power of a Artifact called the Dragon Tear.
Let's say, after the first few Chapters I had a writing blockade and couldn't go on with it.
But, for Wolf and his Gang it isn't really such a Problem.
There are 2 new Pokemon Games on the Horizon (Sun and Moon) and after the Release, it wouldn't wonder me, if he and Lucky goes on a new Adventure to meet new Friends. ^^
Or, you could write a new Story, a complete new one, with a new Character that plays a little in the Future.
More Exactly: Wolfs and Flannerys Child. ^^
Make a Prologe, were you explain a little about Wolfs Relationship, the "Ending" of Wolfs Hunt and the second Marriage of Wolf, this Time with Flannery.
Then make a little Time Warp, 11 - 18 Years Later or so, (depends on if you will put sexy stuff in it or make a "clean" story) and begin with his Sons or Daughters own Travel to become a Pokemon Master and to become better Champion as the Father.
So, Wolf will still be in the Story, but not as Main Character, but more like a Sidekick, a Mentor and sometimes they could meet each other in a City where wolf, Flannery and Lucky make a little Shopping Tripp or watch a Coordinator Contest or so.
And maybe some Test Fights with Flannery and a big one at the end against the Father and Lucky.
I'm sure you will find the best way for this. ^^
I know how Wolf and his Gang lies on your heart.
But maybe it IS Time for a peaceful new Start... and I think that AFTER the Events of Wolfs Hunt, he and his Gang could use a little Outtime, a Peaceful Time, a Time to found a Family and to bring the realationship between him and Flannery to the next level.
