New guys interested in EVE Online (info post)

I've done this before, but I'm gonna put a bit more time into this!
long story short, I'm helping out a bunch of new people get into the game right now. It's difficult to learn alone, but GREAT with friends.
I've been playing this game for a few years, so I know plenty of things you can do, and I can help guide you in the right direction!
They've designed the game such that, if you like healing ships, you can do that from the smallest ship (frigates) to the largest shops in the game (force auxiliaries)! And this worksemester for EVERYTHING. DPS, Healing, Drones, Sniping, Brawling (close range), PVP, PVE.
Hell, if you just want to zen out and mine while you do that lab report? You can do that too!
You can fly out in a cloak, sneak around, use a stealth bomber, or scan down relic sites for loot from ages past.
You could become an economic genius, play the marketplace. Some people love numbers, and EVE's economy is very much alive. Everything in the game is made by players, and sold by players. There's market hubs, and mission hubs. Finding the right supply routes and keeping up on orders can make you BILLIONS.
You could be THAT manufacturing giant. Purchase blueprints and minerals, and start making mods and ships.
And the guys who manufacture need minerals, that's where the zen mode miners come in! Is it exciting? Not at all, but it's what everything trickles down to. Groups can crash the price of an ore just by mining an excessive amount.
PVP? God there's so much. You can be the leader, having 10s to 100s of people following your orders with (generally) out fail. You could be the healer, keeping everyone afloat to keep the good fight good. You could be the EWAR (electronic warfare) specialist, turning your opponents tracking and sensors to literally garbage. You could be the tackle, a small little ship, with one of the most important jobs. Hold the enemy down so we can kill them. Without tackle, there are no kills.
There's faction warfare, player own able space, wormholes, and so much more. I could go on for ages. But if ANY of that interested you even an iota, sign up. Fly with me for three weeks, give it a whirl. The first three weeks are free with my referral, and if you end up upgrading, we get something to sell that'that'll give us 600mil each. If you don't, then you don't no harm no fould. What's there to lose? :)

I'm actually quite interested in picking it up again, on the other hand as KiynAtonis said, not quite sure if I can bring up the dedication for long term.

I have been meaning to get back into it but just find myself getting bored all the time. I know it's good, just a matter of working out what I want to do exactly.

My main one had a nice big ship which used drones. Don't ask what the name is. It's been too long and I forget. I lost it during a mission. Got over run with NPCs and couldn't get away =P
My alt is a miner. Got the hulk or some variation of it. Did I mention I HATE HULK-AGEDDON? It's bad enough having typical pirates pissing me off. Now this so called event has to happen too.
I'm willing to try again but I need some big time help since I'm pretty sure I'm on my own.

I also "love" how you can betray friends, lie and steal, and technically cheat using alts and multiple account tools to multibox, scam everyone, troll all day, start severe rumors and cause people to quit the game by searching and destroying them until they quit! Yea, cause that happens to me so fucking often that I'm now sick of the game. Such a great game hmm?

Today, an entirely furry corp, just betrayed me, banned me from the corp and alliance, and then spout shit about me in local and put a 3 billion ISK reward out for my pod. What a great game, don't you think? My refusal to join anyone else and my refusal to ever divulge anything my corp or alliance was doing, showing complete and total loyalty to the people I've been with, never leaving them for any reason, helping where I can, barely making any profit at all, has been rewarded with betrayal, stress, and other bullshit.
Game's great, if you like pvp and enjoy trolling others. But if you're a miner, fuck miners, they don't mean anything because they are pussy fucks that don't matter! Lets troll them, shoot them, harass them, piss them off, so they can't make our ships anymore!
