Tunes and an Update!

saw the jungle book today with pidge! it was really good! i enjoyed it a lot, the animation was top notch and the story was more like the actual books but with a good amount of references to the animated film as well. Scarlet Jo made an awesome Kaa. hhhhhh
i'm currently juggling a lot of plates; getting college stuff lined up to go back to campus in the fall, tax and inheritance stuff; for whatever stupid reason this week was super hard for me? like there was no real reason why i should feel bad, a ton of stuff was going according to plan even. like, i'm gonna get sweet financial aid considering i'm an orphan with very low taxable income, right? hahah hah hah ah aa
so art's been slow and i'm sorry. i'm gonna step it up tomorrow. i just didn't wanna half-ass anything when i genuinely felt gross.
i'm not in a bad place rn or anything, i just wanted to let y'all know what's up!

EDIT: i was hit with a wave of nostalgia and i was compelled to do a search for an animated version of the jungle book that i saw when i was younger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAkyKttnKaM
found it! it's a russian adaptation of the books, and actually follows mowgli as he's growing up and stuff and it's awesome. the version i saw was with some different sound mixing and dubbed in english. this version is with subtitles. worth a watch for sure!

DO IT. Definitely go see it, in 3d if you can. i don't normally like 3d movies because it almost never works for me wearing the glasses over my normal glasses, but this was awesome. especially the parts with Kaa <3 <3 11/10 do recommend.
