FFIX Steam
So, I've been playing the recent FFIX port to Steam and I have to say, as a longtime 9 fan, the port is pretty impressive compared to Square's earlier efforts. The new models are crisp and clear. The backgrounds are prettier. So are the movie scenes. Even the menus feel as though they've properly taken into account that this game is now a PC game and not a mobile or PS game.
It's by no means perfect. There's this annoying thing where your cursor moves automatically to the middle of the screen when you move and the game is better off played with a controller (so, thankfully, I have the Dualshock 4 and the handy-dandy DS4Windows), but overall, the game's an example of a decent port handled much better than others (like FFVI) that I've been waiting for years now and I'm having fun with.
I even got 100 nobles impressed! Previous record was 99. That damn last noble finally won over years later. I could probably die in peace now.
I recommend the game!

So far I sank a lot of hours into it myself. It still holds up as my favorite final fantasy game of all time.
An interesting quirk, it seems like they rebuilt the game in unity if you dig into the files a bit.
