There was a big Megaplex meeting tonight and it was full of lots of exciting things, most of which I cannot share with you guys, alas. I can say that there are plans for growth and expansion for the next three years at least, so Megaplex isn't going anywhere and will get better and better as time goes by.
But there is a very important thing I can share... MEGAPLEX NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!!! An hour, two, ten, twenty... they need you! Security mostly but lots of other areas as well.
If you would like to spend some time at Megaplex helping out (which will get you a discount or a free membership next year depending on how much time you put in) you need to register for the website and then go here: https://megaplexcon.org/volunteer
If you go to the forums there is also a roomshare forum. But I would also like to open this journal to anyone who needs a roomie. If you need roommates, or are looking for one feel free to leave a comment here and hopefully someone who needs a space will see it. To up your chances, I recommend also putting some info on whether you're a night owl, an early riser, a party person, or a 'shut up and let me sleep' type.

I look forward to coming back some year. '07 was a lot of fun, even though it was so tiny that year! The con has grown by 10x since then, it seems.

Looking forward to Megaplex so much. :) Already registered and have a room for me and my sister already set. Now just need to get airfare (waiting for my sister to get money since we're booking the flight together) and a rental car and I'll be set. :)

Not sure yet if I'll be able to attend, would certainly like to! Being on the Anthrocon staff, I'll echo the call for volunteers, though. Conventions like ours can't operate without folks willing to take time out of their schedule to lend a helping hand. If you have the inclination and time to do so, we can always use your valuable assistance.
