Well I caved and here is my reason for getting my official Patron.
You do not have to pay me through this. It is an extra. it is basically for donations. If you wish to donate but do not want to do it through patron, I have a donation Paypal set up that you can send money to. commission.jbcblank[at]gmail.com
Unfortunately I can not add regular commissions to the donation pool as that money is used to buy food and pay bills.

β₯ I spend hours a day working on my craft. That's hours stuck to my computer just staring at the screen to get the most minute details right.
β₯ I feel like I am making some real strides in my work but, this is coming at a great cost. I can't spend as much time with my family. I used to see my parents every week, see my cousin every other day, but with my work and the hours a day that I am spending with my hands attached to my drawing tablet, I just haven't been able to spend quality time with them because my head is always so occupied with needing to take my computer and having a job to get done.
β₯ My computer is not very portable it is very heavy and taking it around when I want to visit my family is starting to take it's tole on my shoulder. The cintiq is less than half the weight of my computer this would make carrying it much easier and because it's basically my computer made much more portable I would be able to work in the car, at mp parents table, at my cousin's salon, even in bed without feeling like I"m being rude because I have my computer open. This would not only make my work easier it would ease the pain in my back and wrist from the position that I have to sit in for hours on end.
β₯ the cintiq companion 2 costs 2.5k I will also be purchasing the carrying case, mouse and keyboard. That will take it up to 2.6k. the rest of the money will be sent to my savings account and never touched until I know how much I need to get what is wrong with my arm fixed (caused my the hours of working at my PC).
β₯ I really am in no real hurry. Up till this point the pain in my arm has been easy to deal with and work around.
β₯ This is really important to me, not just because it would be good for my work but because it means that I can go and see my family without having to worry that I am not getting work done. I can get work done there and not have to connect a million cables to get it done. If I am sick I can work from bed and not have to find a creative way to get my computer on my bed and keep it from overheating. I can work in the office with my husband and not have to "set up", just pull up a chair and sit with him.
β₯ There are no words to convay how much it would mean to me if you were to donate. You would be making my life so much easier and improving my health at the same time. Not just physically but mentally as well. I stress easily and just thinking that there is a tiny job that I am not doing is enough to send me into fits of panic. Having a Cintiq with me at all times will ease my stress because I would know it was not so far away and could pull it out and work whenever was necessary.
