*WARNING* I will not with hold my opinions for your comfort. They are my opinions and I shouldn't have to pamper them for you. If You don't like them, then go some where else.
I found my Adobe CS6 software. It's installing, right now. I should have a small set of badge/icons available in a few days. My next day off to really work on them is Saturday. So I'm going to try and get some more pencil sketches done and then on Saturday knock out a few of them.
I initially thought about doing this in Photoshop, but I have changed my mind and will be doing them as Vectored Images in Illustrator. This way they can be scaled up or down as desired. So that it can fit in as a signature image on a forums or as an avatar, or have it printed out at a local print shop, as I will be trying to stay within the print colors - as a badge for a convention.
I would like to do some unique badges for conventions, but with my less than starving wages, I may not be able to attend them. So I am looking to make a business proposal with a vendor. I send them the badges, and they will have the badges available for pickup at their booth.
If you or someone you know who might be interested in doing this, please have them get a hold of me. I feel like any vendor would welcome additional traffic to their booth.
Yes, I live in Reno, NV.
Yes, I know BLFC is right around the corner.
No, I cannot afford to go - Wish I could. But there's this thing called Rent. Taking a week off for a con would be nice, if the month had 5 weeks to save for rent. Or if this picks up and I am able to cover what I lose by not going to work.
Grandiose Dreams in my head....
So here's a little bit more too.
I am trying to get an appointment with the head of my degree program at the college. Due to My Military Transcript coming in, I am WAY over the number of "credits" for a student at a Community College, and not having a degree. My GI Bill is of no help right now, due to the way it works... and FAFSA has been using my 2014 Taxes, during which I was given a sizeable separation pay... and that made me ineligible for pretty much all other grants. So I'm hoping that by talking with him, and seeing admissions/finance/VA I will be able to go back to school and finish my degree.
Part of that plan is Paid Internship at a local business within the field of my degree.
SOOO.... yeah. This is a thing.
