Doom (2016) - SnapMap Video Preview

General
Wow, so much new Doom content in the past few days!
This video shows some of the stuff you can do with the new Doom's built-in level editor, SnapMap. These new SnapMap levels show co-op play in both a brand-new story mission as well as a wave-based survival mode against monsters. The video also showcases some other various, significantly more unusual concoctions that don't play very much like traditional Doom at all.
While SnapMap might not be a full-fledged set of mod tools, it at least shows that intrepid, creative designers can still make some unique creations using it, which can potentially result in entirely new styles of gameplay.
And if nothing else, hopefully somebody will use SnapMap to make the co-op story campaign we all wanted. XD

SnapMap will make the game highly replayable and that's one of the things I'm excited the most about. It kind of reminds me of StarCraft II's map editor where you can make various different game modes and such.

The modding scene is what's kept the original Doom alive for so long, and even basic editors like Mario Maker have resulted in more levels than anyone could ever hope to play. Plus, SnapMap is cross-platform, so between the three versions of the game, I'm expecting buckets of new content. XD
This was my main question -- whether or not I would regret buying this on PS4 and would need to purchase it on PC to enjoy the SnapMap features. Thank you for clarifying!

SnapMap will definitely be available for all three platforms, and from what I seem to recall hearing, any content made for any platform will be made available for the other platforms too once uploaded. So, for example, you could make SnapMap stuff on the PS4 and PC and Xbone users can play it too, I think.
