for Danforth:
1. he is listed as a rat on all his legal forms of ID, but he possesses a mix of canine and feline traits as well. even he's not sure exactly what he is anymore.
2. he has two barbs on his tail, razor sharp and barbed like a stingray. normally they lie flat and are pretty easily hidden in his fur. they are coated with a psychoactive venom courtesy of his eldritch host which will, in proper medical terms, make you trip absolute balls.
3. he hasn't aged a day since November 1923.
4. he is an old acquaintance of Gilbert Gray, and one of the few people who is able to dominate him.
5. he absolutely loves the convenience of the internet: both because he loves knowledge and because of its similarities to the neural networks of the conduits of Shiggurath
6. if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a huge Lovecraft fuccboi - Danforth is named for a character in one of Lovecraft's short stories. Danforth is a habitational surname, a variant of Danford, Cambridgeshire. both are derived from Old English dierne ‘hidden’ + ford ‘ford’. Alyd is a little harder to trace: Alyd --> variant of Adelheid, "noble person" -- derived from the Arabic name Adil, "fair, honest, just;" from the Arabic word adala, "to act justly."
7. Danforth is currently a professor of Psychology and Metaphysics in California -- with a particular passion for linguistics of dead languages, and also in marine biology -- specifically the deep seas.
8. He traded his right arm for immortality and power from an otherworldly being. Once every few weeks since that fateful day (nearly 100 years ago now) in the North Sea, he has a kind of psychotic episode where he relives his encounter, or else communes with the red-tentacled, spectral thing that lives in his arm. These attacks appear to be random, but they follow an intricate lunar cycle of an entirely other world.

4. he had a reputation among the merc company for being a black cat, those chosen to work with him usually came back in pieces. bad luck, though he himself was often very lucky.
5. he owns one rifle: a Dragunov SVD, and three fixed blade knives: a Cold Steel tanto, a Spartan Harsey Difensa, and a Cold Steel Steel Tiger fixed blade Karambit.
6. his surname is "Astraukas," from Polish ostrega "dweller by the blackberries."
7. his favorite food is lemon pound cake, dusted with confectioner's sugar. he's not good at cooking, himself. it's not like he ever had the time to learn technique and presentation of food.
8. he's hella gay. really only sexually attracted to guys, but is a definite one-night-stand kinda dude when it comes to sex. he'll cultivate really close friendships, but hasn't found anyone yet that can understand his day job (murdering people), his past work (murdering people), and all the other issues that come with that, and still want to stick around. still, big cats are meant for a mostly solitary life. and he doesn't mind. he's not one for long conversations anyway.

This is mostly born out of the fact that many of his partners were reluctant to get fucked by a cat -- barbed dick, and all that.
Certainly makes wearing condoms difficult.
