*DEEP SIGH* I've struggled with my furry identity for years and right now I'm stuck on being a King Cheetah.. not sure of any stereotypes for Cheetahs, either. I'm.. not very fast. :'D

I was given the eastern dragon by other furries. My fursona was literally just stapled on me like "oh, you are an eastern dragon right?" and somehow everyone knew i had a fursona except me.
after a while I gave up and made myself a white dragon sona instead of a black cat i originally wanted :'3

Honestly bats have always been one of my fave animals, so it's fun to tease anyone who still finds them scary and evil.

There really aren't that many bats in the fandom. The few I've seen were all really attractive, either visually or charismatically, so perhaps there's that. Nyxis is both: her design stands her out from the crowd, and her personality is well defined enough to make her someone you take an interest in, whether you like or dislike her.

I fashioned my first furry character, Coon, from ideas I had for the RPG Jadeclaw. I did not really think much about it at the time, but I really do have a lot of personality traits in common with raccoons, when you really think about their associated stereotypes. My actual fursona is a spotted leopard, a subspecies of large cat you really don't see much of. I like to think he defies feline stereotyping....he can be very serious at times, to the point of grim determination...but he's never aloof or completely distanced, even from his enemies. He recognizes that he has limits and is not afraid to be self-deprecating, nor does he have too much pride to ask for help.

Emo vampires and wannabe wiccans were the first things that popped into my mind.
Alsos being blind and weirdly attracted to people's hair XD

I will say of all the bat's I've met so far, me included, they all tend to be very divided personality wise. Passionate fellas who's passions don't always meet eye to eye. And a lot of bats tend to have very extream personalities because of it, either ending up very introverted and reclusive, or or very extroverted and expressive. And Also tend flutter towards the more extreme side of the kink side of the fandom, for better or for worse.

Yeah stereotypes... I saw a recent example of this. So someone with a Sergal character was attacking a fur for being Muslim. People came to the Muslim fur's defense, which was good, but several of those people were doing so by suggesting anyone with a Sergal character was "awful". It was really quite the irony to be going after someone stereotyping Muslims by stereotyping people with Sergal characters. Makes my head asplode :P
