Everyone seems to be heading over there so I thought I would too but a very close and trusted friend told me I should try furrific instead because the runners of furrynetwork support bestiality...

Varka shut down the offending site recently, and stated he didn't support what was going on there, but since he had practically abandoned the place anyway, he wasn't aware of it until recently.

oh it's bad dragon? I think my friend may just be biased and making assumptions then. Just because someone makes animal themed sex toys doesn't mean they practice bestiality... I may join after all. I feel overwhelmed though. I don't like having to maintain so many different sites. I'm already on here and sofurry. If I add furry network and furiffic that's four in total...to me that's a LOT to maintain every day...

Always try and do your own research when you hear this kinda thing. :)

Since a lot of people are picking up FurryNetwork sites, if maintaining four is a level of commitment you don't want to take on, I would consider making FurryNetwork your third site while you keep an eye on how things move in the future.

I'm in the process of starting a profile there. And yeah...sorry again...

It's okay...I was pretty absent minded about it. Yeah I like the site. What I heard just threw me off. I can see that it's unfounded, personal bias on my friend's part though.

I wasn't trying to spread rumors. I had never heard of furry network. I didn't know she was referring to bad dragon. I apologize. I was just trying to get an answer. I'll delete my comment if that helps...

I dunno about supporting bestiality, but FurryNetwork is owned by the owner of Bad Dragon and they don't have the best history.

Regardless though, Furrific seems really nice! I made an account there recently. I'm excited to use that site because they have a gallery import tool that works with FA, and unlike FurryNetwork (which has an importer tool but it's extremely basic and laggy), Furrific's importer let's you import from your gallery then select which ones you want to actually post to your Furrific gallery, and also allows you to use an editor to change your descriptions/titles/etc before you post, and also let's you choose if you want to post images immediately or schedule them to be posted at a certain date and time. As an artist, I feel like it's the greatest thing ever for a new gallery because then I don't have to flood anyone already watching me or the front page with 100+ submissions at once.

Sadly, it seems a lot of people don't know about Furrific but I'm hoping that'll change!

I'll join both. An importer tool sounds AMAZING. I was worried about having to reupload my entire gallery piece by piece...

It's definitely amazing! I tried it early this morning before I took a nap--I only opted to upload about half a dozen images to start out with and scheduled them all to upload over the course of the morning, and it worked like a charm! I'll probably use it to transfer the rest of my FA gallery to be uploaded there and schedule it to upload only one or two images a day.

Sad but true. The site crawls to get any search done, it doesn't use simple shit like Boolean operators, and it doesn't name files on a way that's good for users to sort. FN is more of a chore than Weasyl.

A lot of the "glitches" are just a situation of Faulty By Design. They apparently intend to address -some- of the most egregious failures "After Launch", but then... well... let's just say "First Impressions". I'd speculate there is a very good reason they don't show active user counts. As it stands currently, they're a flash in the pan site for most users.

I'd really love to see somebody do a furry site RIGHT, but FN is failing at the concept so miserably that they just need to be forgotten at this point.

Lolwut? I've had Paypal and Amazon accounts for as long as I've had my FA account and never have I had my account compromised.

I also haven't had my account compromised on actual comparable places like dA or any other art site.

they stole the paypal data (with my bank account) also stole datas from ebay and amazon to create fake mails/fishing mails and stuffs v.v

Who the hell is "they"? One person hacking into a single person's accounts is completely different from an entire website being insecure and going down for days at a time. They are two completely separate things, and you acting like they're not just shows you don't actually know what's going on.

(By the way, someone getting into more than one of your accounts means YOU have done something wrong, and I'm assuming it's because you've used the same email/password combo on all your accounts, which is insecure and means that if they get into one, they can get into them all. That would be all on you.)

I'm almost to the point where I need to decide whether anybody who says FN <insert anything generally positive> has actually tried to use the site like a viewer or is just going off the shiny and new principle. It's a very thin veneer.
