Sadly, my previous husky, Joey, passed away suddenly at the beginning of the year. Was not planning on looking for another to adopt for a while, but the other husky (Nemo) in the house became increasingly withdrawn so I moved up my schedule. Needless to say, trying to find a companion for an older, special needs dog is not easy at all.
I ended up locating a non-profit that dealt with adopting out retired sled dogs that understood what we were looking for and I found a new friend for myself. Much to my surprise, he and Nemo got along well almost immediately... So, bit over a month ago, brought Logger home.
